It will work out just fine for the roof. Thanks for the input! What to use to remove the glue from the underlaymentWe got the old roof tore off and all the hardware. Now it's like walking on fly paper minus the stringy stuff. Underlayment is very tacky. What have you guys used and had success with removing glue? We tried Acetone and not much luck.Re: Onan Generaor - 10 yr oldUse Seafoam every time you fuel. If you are be able to get premium WITHOUT ETHANOL, that will be a plus. Exercise your rig at highway speed least once a month, running generator. Use the levelers and slides. A sitting rig will deteriorate way faster than one getting used.Re: squishy brake pedalUPDATE: I was given a tip on how to check to see if the master cylinder is bad. I disconnected the lines from the master cylinder, plugged the the two holes on cylinder with the right sized bolts. Applied foot on brake pedal, and wouldn't you know it....a very stiff pedal. Held it there and for a bit and pedal stayed stiff. I didn't have to spend $133.00 for a new master cylinder. Re-connected brake lines, and proceeding to bleed the lines again. I will be back to update!Re: squishy brake pedalWell-now that we broke camp two days early to get out of the severe storms, I will be able to look at replacing master cylinder, the rear brake lines ( front brake lines replaced 7-8 years ago) and of course, new brake fluid. Finding out the specs and Mic'n the rotors is a good idea just to see if that 46,000 miles on the MH, got them wore out. It's going to take a while to get this all done (gotta go to work), but I will UPDATE with what I got accomplished. Thanks for all the replies and ideas! Safe travels!squishy brake pedal97 Coachmen F53 . I have been having trouble getting the coach to slow down when applying brake pedal, and having to push hard on pedal to get to stop. I replaced all four calipers and new pads to replace worn out old ones on the rear axle. Bled the air from calipers. Brakes pedal feels much better than before, but I don't feel comfortable with what i have now. I still have to pump brakes once and prepare to slow/stop WAY in advance. I will re-bleed the calipers again, to confirm no air in system. Brake booster/master-cylinder is my next guess??? Any suggestions?Re: GFI issue in bathroom -trips 3 recptaces - will not reset enblethen wrote: mcal63775: He replaced the 120 volt heating element. Common as the wires pass through the sheet metal stack which is sharp and cuts insulation grounding out the element. So by tech replacing the element, somehow that fixed my issue with the GFI.:hRe: GFI issue in bathroom -trips 3 recptaces - will not resetI had s similar situation. Took MH (97 Coachmen F-53) in for refridgerator recall and explained to tech what was happening with GFI. He knew where to look right away and solved the problem by replacing a rod that goes to fridge. The rod gets super hot and how that works on a fridge is beyond me. I was just amazed and happy that he got it fixed so quickly.Re: Canada Trip PlanningIf you have NEVER been to Canada, thoroughly research requirements to get to get in and out. Passports/pass cards. Updated vet certificates for pets. Things like what would DENY your entry into Canada due to a 'criminal' record. Travel health insurance in case of unexpected health issues. Check with your RV insurance for coverage out of country travel, road break down. Cell phone carrier for additional fees for Canada. Crossing at Buffalo? Toronto traffic is a nightmare. I would avoid it,and cross in NY above Watertown on I-81. So much prettier. Safe travels!Re: 1994 Ford F53 Transmission FailureYeah, transmission needs rebuilt. That is what happened to mine. 5 grand to remove, rebuild and re install. Lifetime warranty as long as we own it. We was 8 miles from campground on a 4th of July weekend.
