The depreciation and maintenance on the DP is bad. Two things fail before I can fix even one thing. My class A is worth half what I paid for it. With a towable a 50% depreciation isn't as painful since you start with a lower number to begin with.Re: length to wheel base ratioThe other thing to consider is if you tow or not. The force exerted on the back of the RV by your trailer or toad will be greater with a large over hang. The tail will try to wag the dog.Re: MH Financing, over 10 years old So it's obvious you already have a loan on it, why can't you just have your wife's name removed from the existing loan? The lender won't do that. They say that they have to honor the original loan contract, no changes allowed. They won't refi either since the unit is now over 10 years old. I just applied at a credit union.Re: MH Financing, over 10 years oldThanks for the suggestions. I just bought my house last year but because of the divorce could only put 20% down. The HELOC is not an option. I still owe over $70K on the MH so a credit card is out. I will try a Credit Union.MH Financing, over 10 years oldI need to refinance my RV to clear my ex wife from liability etc. The MH is a 2004 and over ten years old. All the RV specialty finance companies stop at 10 years. Any suggestions for refinancing of older units?Convection oven useMy microwave combo oven died and I need to replace it. We never really used the convection all that much. We also don't have a gas oven. I was thinking of replacing it with a non-convection unit to save money. Is this a bad idea? It's fine for us but if we sell the unit would it hurt the resell? Would you by a MH without a gas or convection oven?Re: Route up to Ithaca NYThanks I will give that a try.Route up to Ithaca NYI'm planning a trip up to NY from NC. The yahoo driving directions takes me from I81 to Rt11 at Harrisburg and up through Williamsport PA to Rt15 to Corning etc. I've made that trip before and all the surface traffic and stop lights seems to take forever. I'm looking at I81 that goes more East but it is all interstate. Would taking I81 all the way up be faster?Re: towing a 2010 dodge chargerI imagine the 2010 is like the 2007 which we tow. Tow setups are available for the V8 Hemi version. You will need a lube pump. Ours tows just fine.Re: What would you rather have?It would come down to utilization and floorplan. I don't think you would go wrong with any of them. If you plan to do a lot of traveling I would lean toward the DPs. Of the two DPs Tiffin has the kitchen on the wrong side for my preference.
