Dumb question of the day. What is a power hitch? I really like your towel rack eDUBz. Looks very practical. It's a power tongue jack, and yes they have a manual override. It's a crank handle and an adapterRe: Electrical QuestionMaybe the plug connectors between the truck and tt are corroded or oxidized enough not make a good connection. I know from experience. A good blasting with a cleaner could solve it.Re: Old Trailer Fix Ups...Put the battery on a battery Tender whenever it's not in use. It's much better than a once a month charge. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=battery+tender+chargers&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=31138155410&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16902698790253116111&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_6pv2hovikz_bRe: Tools?I went out for week and after set-up and turned on the refrigerator on gas and nothing. After removing the panel outside, I found a squirrel had been working on a nest and chewed all the wiring. My brother was well equipted with lots of electrical repair parts and 30 minutes later it was good to go. I had to cover the roof vent with wire mesh to keep the critters out. Another time I was pulled over for no lights. Needed a spray cleaner for the electrical connector between the TV and TT. Just basic tools is all that's needed.Re: Cleaning power awnings. It seems that few people read the op's original post all the way through...Re: Old Trailer Fix Ups...Check the oven for a thermocoupler. If it has one, it's probably bad and needs replacement to keep the oven running.Re: Stolen BatteriesI bought these for my 2 batteries. Work well. http://www.b-drvbatterylock.com/ I take my batteries out and put them in my shed on tenders when not in use. It's not a big deal for me to lock or unlock them.Re: LED replacement for trailer tail light Caveman Charlie wrote: GordonThree wrote: boulderado wrote: Does anyone have a recommendation for an LED replacement tail light for trailer in signature? The bulb seems to be a 3-in-2 design with two filaments (brake, turn and regular light). Thx. I purchased my two-way 1157 replacement from Superbrightleds.com ... I can't bring up the site right now or I'd link it for you. It has a "head" that rotates 180 deg, so I can regardless of how it bayonets into the socket, I can aim the light outward. It's bright and then gets even brighter when the brake / turn indicator function is called for. I'm sure there's one on a popular auction site, direct from China for under a buck, but I'm happy with the one from superbright. Only downside, the left hand tail light has a clear window in it, so the light also illuminates the license plate with white light, well, now that light is red. I see that on a car they recommend a special flasher to get the turn signals to flash at the right speed. I wonder on a TT if that is needed? You would have the vehicles tail lights to give you the required resistance after all. \ Not needed on a TT as the TW already has the correct resistance and the TT is extra load.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosI painted my 4 way lug wrench a different color on 3 ends. That way once I find the right size to use for a wheel R&R I can quickly use the correct 'color' after setting it down and changing wheels then picking it up again. I also painted the lug bolts the same color(orange and they're behind a hubcap) as the correct size and since I use the 4 way on my stabilizers, I painted those heads as well (white).
