Try Route 25 North from Brunswick, then Route 17 North to Charleston and beyond. If the weather is good, take the ferry in NC and visit the barrier islands (Ocracoke, Nags Head...etc) which is Rt12. Then across the Chesapeake Bay on RT13 and hit the Delmarva area to the Cape May ferry...then your on your own! RT301 is also a nice option in many stretches.Re: Falcon 170That is a diode type battery isolator. It allows both batteries it is connected to to "charge" from the alternator...yet blocks one battery from draining the other. All cables are +. The "feed" from the alternator it USUALLY the middle terminal. The outside terminals are the feeds to the batteries.Re: Our first RV trip was .......Have fun with that classic '87! We have had our '85 (another make) for over a decade and love it. We get a lot of questions and give tours at times too. Somethings do age well...if taken care of.Re: Replacing Roof Top A/C unitsA few years ago I replaced on of the OEM Coleman AC units on our coach. It was 15 years old. We hit a national chain RV store the next day...and for a standard price for the unit and a reasonable installation fee were on our way in 3 hours. The other one's still fine...and if/when it fails...I'll replace it then.Re: ShocksYes. I can recommend KONI's FSD units. I have an older Wanderlodge and about 2 years ago had noted that the ride had deterorated...I checked: the front OEM KONI's and they were good, but bushings worn...checked the back and one shock was good, one was was shot. Replaced all worn bushings and both back shocks with FSD's. Nice ride, less hard bumps on poor roads and less leaning in turns. All in all a good choice for my 33'bus. Check all your components...replace what you need too and enjoy your ride!
