The diluted fabric softner worked quite well and was even touted but my MH dealer but the real fix was replaceing all of the pop vents, event he one for the washer, which we do not use, but keep the trap filled. Nice to not smell for a change. Thanks for all responses. Off to the road..Re: Overheating 2004 Tiffin allegro bus 36 OP cat. 3126 e 330 hpI picked up my coach today at the local CAT dealer. When they put in shop they tested for codes found that yes it had been overheating and all hoses, thermostats, fan rotation, speed and direction were correct. When they inspected the side radiator system they found it completely clogged up. You can't see this condition from road side. They put a special solution on it then steamed it and then used a special pressure washer, so as to not damage fins, and blew it out. They test drove for 50 miles on grades and it ran at 200 (normal for a C7 350 HP) and outside air was well over 100. Picked it up today and ran it to storage and it ran at or below 200. They said at least once a year this needs to be addressed on side draft radiators. Power wise they advised the C7 was at peak power and that re-ehausting or chipping it would not be of benefit for more power, just FYI. Now if I could just get the dash air to work good...Re: Sewer SmellSewer smell had dissipated as coach was left in covered shop overnight with windows open and drove 10 miles and no smell. Did find a pop vent valve associated with washer so will replace that. All p traps are full. Used a recommended solution of fabric softner and bleach to put in tanks while driving to clean out. thsnk for all quick responses hope I can help the same in future.Re: Sewer SmellI had all three pop vents replaced and they said it was the issue but it is still there. All p traps have been replaced so will try to get to washer one, but used it recently. Will also change roof vent.Re: Sewer SmellNot sure how to check the batteries but that area always seems dirty but I do not see signs of the fluid boiling over. Had shop check electrical system and was good. Two batteries new 5 two years old..Re: Sewer SmellThanks for the quick response ans I will research.Sewer SmellI have a 2005 Mandalay 40B and have owned since 20,000 miles, has 34,000 now. It has always had a bit of a sewer smell when driving. I do not run with vents open, both tanks have been bleached but on recent trip I received smell through dash A/C, crazy right? I had in shop and they replaced the pop vent valves,(3), saying they were bad and that was the problem. Drove away 20 miles to next destination and same thing. Any suggestions? I did call the repair facility and they advised to clean tanks, which I had already done.Re: Overheating 2004 Tiffin allegro bus 36 OP cat. 3126 e 330 hpInteresting, I have a 2005 Mandalay 40B with a CAT C7, 350 HP, side radiator as well. I have 34,000 miles and am second owner of coach, since 20,000 miles. My engine overheats just as yours does and even when not towing. I live in Vegas and it heats up in the same pass as yours, I try to run at 2000 rpm to stay cool. I have just returned from a trip to Austin and had overheating problems the entire way. I have it at the CAT dealer now being inspected and have heard of all the remedies that are listed, clean radiator, hoses, belts, etc with no success. Will post results when Coach is returned from CAT.
