Never a leak.Re: Xlr thunderbolt and srwMy Pin weight with the trailer ready to camp (linens, cookware, etc ) with NO toys loaded in the back is 3310#. The unit is 16,300# with NO toys loaded in the garage. I usually keep my tools, compressor, jack (HEAVY 3 ton), and my 2 labs in the bed of the truck adding another 500# or so to my truck. I have a DRW to pull this with, I would recommend you get your truck weighed at a CAT scale and work from there with what you have available for payload. The XLR is a good trailer and has given me over 15k road miles of use and over 140 nights in the last few years of ownership. Good luck -Re: Nitrogen vs Air bluepost wrote: Leroy2u wrote: bluepost wrote: Airplane brakes and tires get VERY hot and it is not uncommon for them to catch fire and explode. When they do, you don't want a rush of O2 sweeping over the already burning brakes/tire material. Incorrect statement Correct statement. There are other factors for nitrogen, but those could be overcome (ie moisture). Been working on Commercial aircraft (727 through 787) for over 30 years including accident recovery and I have never seen or heard of landing gear components catching fire from a tire giving out. I "see" tires let go on a regular basis with only structure damage to be had. So again this statement is incorrect.Re: Nitrogen vs Air bluepost wrote: Airplane brakes and tires get VERY hot and it is not uncommon for them to catch fire and explode. Incorrect statementRe: Cyclone Model: CY 4200 All New Concept!I can tell you the arctic package on my 5er is the real deal. I have spent several weeks at 0 deg outside and main body of the trailer was extremely warm. The garage is another story, no furnace heating makes it there, but I used a couple of small space heaters and the garage was no issue. Do your research on models you are interested in and I think you'll be alright. MarkRe: XLRI've been coast to coast with my 395AMP with over 10k miles on the tires. As with all things made by man I've had a few small items come up but nothing I would attribute to a poor manufacturer process but third party defects. MarkRe: Towing in the mountains with a gasser???? dodge guy wrote: I tow with my gas V-10. for the life of me I can`t figure out what the draw is with Diesel. I never have an issue towing my 9200lb TT. I`ve passed several diesel in the last 11 years. I guess you just feel like a better person with a diesel? :h Well, your vehicle and trailer are very nicely matched in power/weight. Gas vehicles are very capable IMO up to around 12k, anything above that you are going to need a Diesel for the loads that most of the large fivers are moving up 20k. Also if you ever decide to tow in altitude 7k-12k you are going to suffer significant HP loss and will not be passing any Diesels.Re: Fort Amarillo RV ResortThis is good news as I have a reservation with them early next month. Thanks for the review. MarkRe: Time for Marysvale Utah!Going the last couple of days in July through the first week of August. I've waiting a few years to go here and I can't wait!
