Maybe the auto leveling jacks would help. I washed the diesel and took pictures of it for advertising and looking at it, I almost wanted to cry. I think we will just do it for another year with what we have. The weight, towing, etc. is just too much to digest since we have had such great luck with our system. Thanks everyone though. LindaRe: October festivals, Va & W VaGraves Mountain Fall Apple Festival, Madison, Virginia. It is three weekends in October and lots of vendors, food, etc. This is a favorite for the people to visit from DC and Northern Virginia and my home county.Re: Which Class C Should we buy and why?We pretty much know what features we need. Automatic leveling jacks, entertainment center cab over, queen bed and storage in the bedroom area. We lack that in the fifth wheel. So used to slides that is a must for being spacious. We also have a new Escape and want to haul it on a trailer that is open and not enclosed. A generator would be great, but not that important. We are just wary of brands that may cause problems due to cruddy workmanship and cutting corners. We have been so lucky with our Jayco, which was 3 years old when we bought it and still had the plastic covers on the sofa mattress. Thanks again everyone. LindaRe: Which Class C Should we buy and why?I really appreciate all of the items to think about. If it were not our age, I would love to keep our Jayco fifth wheel, but if we still want to travel and go camping, it is not an option. We generally travel for short trips in Virginia and North Carolina, but each winter we stay in Florida for about 2 months. We must have a tow vehicle! Even for the big trips, we do not pack heavily, so I think we are okay on that point. My husband would really like a diesel, but I think that would be cost prohibitive. Again, many thanks for your feedback. LindaWhich Class C Should we buy and why?Hi Everyone. We have a fifth wheel and pull it with a long bed crew cab. This was fine until we really got old. We've had our trailer since 2000 and love every inch of it, but we realize it is harder now to level the jacks and the thing is just so long now and makes us nervous. We still want to travel and camp and are going to sell our present system and maybe look into a Class C. The prices vary from $55,000 to over $120,000. We can probably afford to spend around $65,000 on either an excellent used or a not so great new one. We want to pull a car on a trailer behind for getting around. Would any of you please put in your two cents or maybe 3 cents worth of knowledge as to what are good brands and what are not. If it is new, we are concerned with getting the kinks out and if it is used, what was wrong with it. Help please and many thanks. LindaRe: we are so excitedWe are huge fans of the Keys. Been there numerous times. I know she will love retirement too. We have been retired almost 5 years from our own business and not regretted selling it one bit. If you want to try something on the way or the way back, try going on the "Sound Road" and stop at "Alabama Jacks". It has been there for years and kind of a biker bar, but open air and just a fun place. Several famous people have been there and written about it. We always get the "dinner" size conch fritter. Absolutely delicious to split. Music on the weekends too. We visit Key West but stay at Knights Key in Marathon by the 7 Mile Bridge. Sadly, it will be developed into a resort in 2017. A great place to eat is right there by the Bridge, called Sunset Bar and Grill. In Key West, we love Mangia Mangia. Great if you love garlic. Have a great time. We plan on being there mid January to mid February God willing.Re: 2015 Forest River Forester - Complaints and Opinions? There is nothing wrong with the truck at all, but it is huge and difficult to back into spots. The trailer we love it, but we are aging and we need something a little easier. Thanks for the input everyone.2015 Forest River Forester - Complaints and Opinions? We have had a wonderful Jayco Eagle 5th Wheel since 2000, but it is getting old and so are we. Pulling that with a crew cab truck is getting a little much. We are looking at buying a 2015 Forest River Forester with only 10,000 plus miles. It looks great and yet, we are leery of spending $64000 on the unknown. I would appreciate any feedback on this type of Class C or recommendations on really good ones. We are retired and cannot spend a fortune. Thanks for any help. Linda
