thanks, we do file 8840. But to leave our province for more than seven months and still qualify for Cdn Medicare we need to apply for sabbaticle. Just wondering if anyone in this forum has any experience with applying.

Canadians RVing to Alaska
We are thinking of an Alaska trip with our fifth wheel, and are wondering if any Canadians could give us advice on applying for sabbaticle from province and also visa for stay in U.S. Longer than the usual six months.

I should have explained I'm looking for info on applying for leave beyond the six months to be out of province. Understand we can get extended leave every three years in relation to Medicare. Also, need to apply to US for extension.
