All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Sewer Hose SupportI use rain gutters, but I've attached 3/4" PVC T's to both sides of the gutter at about 24" intervals. Then I cut 3/4" PVC pipe in pairs at varying lengths for the legs. I then drilled a hole in PVC end-caps and put a nail through the hole, followed by a drop of glue, to keep the nail in place. The nail adds traction. I made additional pairs of PVC legs at varying lengths so I could vary the incline of the gutter/hose. Works great.Re: Pilot flying j issueI use GasBuddy, an app that finds the best-priced fuel around where I am, or where I am going or along the way. This app is great. It is also important that when you have the opportunity you confirm that the price charged is what the app says it is, or you update what the price is when you filled-up. Granted it doesn't solve the issue with the credit card hold however it will save you money and time searching for a better price. Tim LerchbackerRe: Front AC Not CoolingWhere is your thermostat for the unit that is not cooling? Mine is just outside the door to the bedroom where my second unit is. If the bedroom AC is set lower than the main AC / Thermostat, it will falsely cause the thermostat to think the room it is supposed to cool has cooled off and will not cycle the AC unit the thermostat controls. Try either raising the temp on the second unit (which you say is cooling to 70 degrees,) or turn it off to see if the other unit will cool things off. Perhaps a bit basic, so forgive if "it goes without saying" the thermostat is not too close to the one that is cooling. Thanks TimRe: Dual stage propane regulatorExactly correct. It's a must have.Re: PDI walk through tomorrowCall RV Inspection Connection and see if there is an NRVIA certified inspector in the area where you are doing your walk through. I am looking for 1 RV owner in Southeast Texas (preferably the Houston area) who would like a no cost, in-depth NRVIA “Essential Plus” inspection of their Motor Home. Why am I offering this no-cost inspection? I am becoming certified as an RV Inspector by the NRVIA - National RV Inspection Association. During the inspection, up to 352 line items are checked on towables and up to 367 line items are checked on motor homes. As a part of the advance training I attended recently, we each inspected a towable RV. To complete my training, I must also perform an inspection of a motor home. My family and I have been RV-ing for 20+ years. I know first-hand some of the “opportunities” RV enthusiasts are challenged to resolve. For a buyer, an in-depth RV inspection provides facts to make an informed “go/no-go” purchase decision. It greatly enhances the probability the buyer will have the kind of RV experience they were expecting / hoping for. For a seller, an in-depth RV inspection helps emphasize the value to the buyer and potentially minimize the sellers liability. For a current owner not looking to sell, the biggest benefit is piece of mind about the current condition of your RV, NRVIA requirements are that I complete the motor home inspection by the end of this week, April 17. Would you be open to having a cup of coffee for us to meet and to discuss what the inspection would entail? Did I mention that this will not cost you anything? I am also able to provide telephone numbers and names of people with NRVIA who can vouch for my quest to become a top-notch RV Inspector. Please call me at 832-493-3540. It will be well worth the expense.Re: HoardingSurprised you didnt wait until you were taking delivery, then set the old & new rig facing door to door so to speak, then handling most of what needed to be moved only once, out of the old and into the new. Good workout though. . . .
