All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsFantastic Fan issue- need helpI have 3 Create-a -Breeze model 8100 from Fantastic Fan. The living area fan is controlled by a single pole switch which opens the lid and activates the fan. The switch suddenly stopped working, but I can still open it manually and run the fan using the controls. I suspected the motor had failed, so I swapped motors with the bathroom fan for a test. The bathroom fan works as it should using the suspected bad motor, so that eliminated my suspicions. The living area fan works except, the wall switch functions are now reversed. The “on” position closes the lid and shuts down the fan. The “off” position opens the lid and activates the fan. I tried reversing the wires at the wall switch, but it did not make a difference. I am a bit puzzled as to why it is doing this. Possibly a bad switch? Any suggestions would be appreciated. BillRe: Full wall slide adjustmentI had the same problem on my 2012 Suncruiser, except the center of the FWS was sagging in the center. This was a result of the bolt attaching the slide to the ram had sheared off, causing the sag and ultimately dragging on the top of the basement door. I would first check the bolts on all three Rams with the slide fully extended. If they are all intact, that is good news. Power Gear/Lippert has instructions on their website to adjust all different slide mechanisms they manufacture. The PDF instructions are intended for trained RV techs., but it may give you an idea how to make the adjustment if you choose to DIY. BillRe: Chrome lug nutsI had the same problem when I had new tires put on. The tire installer did not tighten one of them and I lost the jam nut on the short trip home. Not sure of the size, but for the front, I use an adjustable crescent wrench with a rag over the nut to prevent scratching. The rear would be a bit more difficult using this method.Re: What is this bracket for?Thank you for the answers regarding what it was for. Since I do not have a screen room, maybe I will just remove it and replace it with a small reflector of something. What is this bracket for? Need help identifying a bracket just to the inside of my Dometic A&E Power Awning I thought maybe it has to do with some type of lock for the left arm, but not sure.Re: Towing a Chevy EquinoxI experienced the same problem. To solve it, I installed an auxilliary 12 volt plug beneath the dash, close to the console. It was difficult to get the wire through the firewall, but after finally getting it through, I was able to connect it directly to the battery. When you get ready to tow, make sure the ignition is in the "accessory" position and not the "on" position. I learned the hard way after arriving at my destination with a dead battery.Re: Fed up with Direct TV - need help! One satellite at a time. It toggles between the two depending on which programming package you have. 101 is for most of the programming. 119 is for local spot beam. When you change the channel, the sat toggles to the corresponding satellite. I did not buy the wrong one.Re: Fed up with Direct TV - need help!Don: It is SD and toggles between 101 for regular programming and 119 for locals. Problem is that is not receiving locals.Fed up with Direct TV - need help!Today I replaced my older King Dome with a new Winegard Roadtrip Mission connected to a Direct TV H24. The install went great until I attempted to test it out. I have the package that includes local channels, but unable to receive them while parked in front of my stick house. Sat 101 is fine and provides programming as it should. Sat 119 is not sending local channels, despite all transponders putting out signals above 86. I literally spent over 2 hours on the phone with Direct TV, but they were unable to get the locals to work. I keep getting a message 721 stating I have to order the local channels in order to receive them. Direct TV says I already have it included in the package. I have done everything possible including the latest software update. Direct TV says they will a tech out,but I fear this may just be an installer who knows nothing about advanced tech issues. Besides switching to Dish, does anybody have any suggestions? BillRe: FWS Major Failure (see photos) *UPDATE*Rut Ro , not what I wanted to hear! According to the tech who welded it, the head was welded to the frame, then he went around it again with a second weld. The original failure was most likely a result of the slide being out of alignment. Since it is now properly aligned, hopefully it will hold up, considering this was the center ram, and there are still two outside rams to share the load.
