We're scenery-admiring, pokey riders who are looking for new area(s) to ride with trails/roads in decent condition. Is there enough mileage in different directions to have a base camp for a week? Last month spent a week in Richfield Utah, greatly disappointed in the trail system: 1/3 sort-of-okay, 1/3 bad, 1/3 honest-to-God horribly terrible. I figure 90% due to riders doing their best to tear up the trails (and doing it), topped off with 10% weather. We won't ever return.Re: Rank your RV issuesSlide Issues Fresh water and sewer water access in same bely compartment Hole for sewer hose waaay out of line from discharge pipe Awning edge directly above door 2 belly compartment doors under slides hinge on top Bath fan too small & slow Cheapo SS sinks get rust spots even after drying them offRe: Anyone towing a pontoon with their coachI'm my own 3 ring circus at the boat ramp with a pickup. Would be a 5 or 6 ring circus trying to back with that greater disparity of wheel bases.Re: Sometimes you don't need to camp to see critters...Too cool! Initially I thought this was going to be about what you might see in Walmart at 2am!Re: Are RV sewer hose supports necessary? No, not necessary. We use one whenever the hose isn't all-downhill from RV to sewer pipe, which is probably +90% of the time.Re: Parking brake not staying engaged on Winnebago vista allbrandauto wrote: at the emergency brake pedal is a ratchet can stick take wd40 and spray it down move release handle back and forth see if this works Better, use a dry silicone lubricant. WD40 isn't a lubricant and as it dries it gets sticky and collects 'stuff'.Re: Solo fire pitLove ours. Few years ago camping neighbors had an alternate brand. At DW's insistence that's the one we bought. All black - she liked more than the "white" stainless. And it's a bit smaller. We burn tree trimmings, 1-3" diameter, mostly oak and pecan.WANTED -- "Special" Insulated CupLooking for an insulated cold drink cup or mug that "properly" fits in the coach cup holders - something that goes all the way to the bottom with just a little wiggle room on the sides. Search so far unsuccessful at Academy, BassPro, Cabelas, Walmart...cups/mugs are either too narrow (flop around in cup holder = spills) or too fat to fit in at all. Or alternatively a replacement cup holder that fits in the hole and "properly" holds existing cup designs. Search so far turns up same exact cup holders.Re: Wanted - Fresh Water Hose for "Olds"Thanks all! Got a Giraffe to try out our next trip, looks like it will work for us. FWIW, tried two different couplers, still too difficult for our aging hands.Re: Got mice try this mdcamping wrote: a good cat works Mike ^ This ^ We're rural and there are numerous feral cats roaming the area. We put a bowl of dry cat food on a metal-leg table to encourage them to sort of hang around. Mice and skunks can't climb the table legs but the cats have no problem jumping up there. Plus 3 little bowls of real peppermint oil, bathroom (rear), galley (middle) & bedroom (front). Seems to work good as we haven't had any sign of vermin in the RV since we started using it.
