I don't care for Jordanelle as it is way over crowded weekends. Utah Lake has a campground but lake has ZERO beaches unless you want to crawl in mud or over busted up, used concrete they use as berms. Depending on how far you want to travel from campsite to SLC/Provo area, Palisade state park about 80 miles from Salt Lake City has full hookups, showers, fishing lake, golf course, ATV and group areas. Maybe let us know what it is you want to do would narrow choices and location for you.Re: Spark plugs and wires for a Chev 8.1Changed plugs/wires last year on mine to the Taylor extreme with the heat boots and still burned #5 & #7 wires. These things are way too expensive to keep doing that and I was going back to OEM, then I saw/heard about these ceramic booted wires from Summit Racing. Can't tell you much yet as just put them on last week. But they looked well built and if that ceramic can really withstand the adverstised 2000 degree heat then that works for me.Re: Trailer WiringKeep in mind that even though it sounds like the wiring is already there, you may still have to install/insert the relay or fuse to activate. I know mine was ran but had to get the relay inserted in panel under dash to activate.Re: Advice on correct carb for 1988 P30 (CA emissions)Maybe this can be a starting place for you at Rockauto.com $380.00 And this PDF might not help much without the original carb, but at least you can see the models.Re: 454 L29 1997 moves to next stage of repairDeja Vu here on that with my previous MH. Ended up being a spun bearing and wrist pin on #7. Put the call in to Jasper engines and had a long block delivered end of week. Spent the week pulling old engine out, cleaning etc and put new one back in that weekend. Probably run you just under 5k. Make SURE that you replace the oil cooler in the radiator with the new one that comes with the engine. Radiator shop can install easily.Re: A&E OneStep power awning motor problemsDometic may not offer the motor for the Onestep model, but they definitely have them available for their 9000 series. I know this because I replaced mine with a brand new one a few years back and it is an "in tube" motor.Re: A&E OneStep power awning motor problemsI am inclined to agree with what Doug said on just replacing the entire unit. Cannot find motor anywhere so the electric awning use is kapoot. I would look at either a new manual awning or new electric replacement according to your budget. Our local Camping World has a discount on awnings going on and 50% off install. I think it is because of the RV shows going on. Your time is worth something and you could spend alot of hours looking for a motor or get lucky and see if someone could rebuild the old motor.Re: A&E OneStep power awning motor problemscan you post the model of it?Re: A&E OneStep power awning motor problemsKnowing the model of your awning would help, but mine had 3 pop rivets I drilled out, unhook power after removing the cover on inside of arm. Support the main roller tube assembly and motor assembly will pull out fairly easy. Important note on re-install: When motor drive assembly is properly aligned, it is placed in the roller tube with the motor slot positioned under the channel with the fabric rope. I would take a few pics to reference but it is not a bad job to replace. The torsion spring is on the other end and that can get you if you disassemble without pinning that end. Just be able to support your awning/tube assembly with a ladder to rest it on while you have the motor out and removed from awning arm.
