It isn't worth the risk to life and limb to rust the China stuff no matter the cost.Unexplained OdorsWe are suddenly experiencing grey water tank draining noises and smelling awful odors. Not in the toilet area but from near the back of toilet closet and in basement compartment under toilet. There are no leaks. Do all tanks have "cheater valves"? Thanks for your help.Re: St tires vs LT tiresI am a 10 year 37' Fifth Wheel tower who has used them all and have the bills and scars to prove it. Skip all the debate and install Michelin XPS Ribs and your potential misery will be greatly diminished. They are expensive but the damaged that usually comes from a blowout not to mention the delays and expense is greater not to mention the safety factor.OdorBegan noticing bad smell from electrical control area (near floor, at door and behind toilet of our fifth wheel. Not typical electrical smell nor raw sewage smell but rather more like a dirty old horse stall. Seemed to get worse after an overdue black water tank dump so we assumed a sewer overflow or leak. Investigation reveals absolutely no leak in basement or under rig. Odor strong outside in battery and electrical compartment and to some degree under rv in that area but none in toilet compartment nor from black water tank. Could it be the inverter of other electrical source. Help! It is bad and sadly is right at the front door. Thanks.Re: Tire advice needed, long trip plannedI am a 10 year Sunnybrook 37ft 5th wheel owner and know the weight range you are in on just two axles. I have three axles and still suffered the disaster that ultimately comes with the typical new RV. It is not worth the risk to life and limb to run those tires. You have a great deal invested so don't skimp on tires. I finally quit the quest for cheaper answers and installed the only real solution to your problem and that is Michelin XPS RIB tires. The $$$ is tough but you can even see the difference when you compare them to your old ones. Order them online and have a real professional alignment shop (truck) true, balance and mount them. You will never know how much agony you will avoid. By the way, it is also critical to get your heavy rig weighed wheel by wheel so you can try to distribute your weight properly, see that the rig runs level and keep the air pressure correct. Sorry for the long speech but I get tired of so many half baked opinions on these forums. Have fun and don't try to cut corners on your connection to the road!
