Using some high end folding chairs until we can find something we like. An awful lot of unusable storage under the old booth seats! Going on a 2 week trip so we will see how it works out. The booth seats always just seemed to collect things!Changing out Booth Dinette with table and chairsLooking to change out our dinette booth with a table and chairs for 2 people. Any recommendations on what to use?Re: F53 Hitch update. No frame extensions, but I have still beefed up the frame. Been towing with Motorhomes for over 20 years and would never trust a production frame. There is a big difference in towing a trailer and “Pulling” a Toad. No tongue weight with a Toad. The body builders always seem to install a generic #5000 hitch, even if the capacity is higher.Re: F53 Hitch update. The frame has already been reinforced. I have spoken directly to the Ford F53 Engineers and the limitation is the hitch that the body builders install. Just looking to upgrade the hitch itself now.F53 Hitch update.Looking to update the hitch on my 2008 F53 to a #10,000. The GCVW of my coach will handle this but the production installed hitch is only rated for #5000. What is everyone using? Thanks!Re: Flooring upgradeDid Pergo Laminate in our old Allegro. Never had any issue and much better than the dirt catching carpet. Very easy to do and had it done in 2 days including removing the old carpet.Re: Replacing the old oneThe Damon is officially home. Drives very nice. Now have to learn all the ins and outs.Re: 1995 P30 Differential Problems; Large ShavingsWhile you have it apart, I would disassemble the pinion and inspect the bearings for sure. It would be a shame to put it all back together and still have an issue. Did the rear end make any howling noises?Re: 1995 P30 Differential Problems; Large ShavingsHad that on my P30. It was the pinion bearing. Not hard to change. 5 bolts on the front of the housing. Take it to your local machine shop and have them press the old bearings of and new ones on. Once you get the bearings out, you will see the chunks out of the bearings. You will also notice the rear end is a lot quieter. Hope this helps. TerryRe: Replacing the old oneSpent the entire day cleaning out the old coach and getting it ready to trade in. Hard to believe we had that much stuff in there! Had the Allegro for 11 years. Can't say I have had any major issues with it, just the normal maintenance items and would recommend to anyone. Hope we have the same luck with the Damon!
