I had an 06' reg cab 8' 4:10 with the 4speed trany. Traded it on a 2011 crew cab 6' 3:73 with the 6 speed. both had 6.0 there was no noticeable difference in mpg. but the 2011 does tow a lot better the 6 speed more than made up for the rear gear diff...
