Anyone with similar ford chassis class A pulling a ram 1500 or similar truck?Driving Class ARecently bought a Class A Winnebago Tribute (2015) after owning a travel trailer. Driving has not been as "relaxed" as I had expected. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations or perhaps I am still getting used to it. But, I felt more comfortable driving at high speed with my travel trailer than I do with the motorhome, especially in the mountains. Feels like some drift and going around corners the sensation of tipping over. Is this normal, or should I expect better and have it checked out?Toad Set UpRecently purchased gas motorhome with 5k pound towing capacity. Shopping for Honda CRV now. Question to this group is regarding a recommnedation for tow set up to purchase to pull the CRV, and where you suggest buying? Thanks!Buying first Motorhome, usedLooking for advice from the veterans. Recently sold my travel trailer in hopes to purchase a motorhome. Mostly looking at class A units, although wife likes class c. Considering a newer (2012) Thor Windsport that is being sold by a rental company with about 65k miles on it. I didn't start out liking the idea of a formal rental but i guess there is something to be said about it being serviced when it should be etc. The other option is a much older, but cheaper, Fleetwood Storm (2001) with 50k miles. It is from a local dealer who either got it from auction or trade in and the plus side to this is a warranty being included for a couple of years to cover everything and a savings of about $15k over newer model. Curious about people's thoughts on buying older vs. newer, and maybe these models specifically if any experience out there.Towing 2011 OdysseyJust sold our travel trailer so we can purchase a class c. Done some research but cannot seem to get a straight answer when it comes to toads. We already own a 2011 Honda Odyssey. Does anybody know what our options are when it comes to pulling this vehicle? Can it in fact be towed 4 down? If not, can it be towed on a dolly?Re: Winter Camping Part timePbohart you are correct, exactly what trying to do. Want to leave our rig in mountains for skiiing each weekend and not having to worry about pulling rig each weekend during storms. I wonder if we left out space heater running on low the entire time (just like when unit is occupied) if this would eliminate need to blow lines etc.Re: Winter Camping Part timeWhy do I need to insulate the lines every time? If I bleed them of water each time isn't that fine?Winter Camping Part timeConsidering parking my travel trailer at rv park for duration of the winter but I will occupy only during the weekends. This wil allow me to travel to itthe location more freely as it is in high country and towing during snow storms is not an option. Any tonight's / concerns on leaving my TT unattended for days or couple of weeks at a time during some cold snow storms? I am figuring whenever I leave it unattended I will pull the slide in and empty all tanks completely. I think roof can handle the weight of the snow. Appreciate any experience in this. Thanks.Re: Dry camping, batteries and slide outWhat watt solar panel is required to be totally free of of shore power?Re: Dry camping, batteries and slide outThanks so much for this great feedback. I use NO inverter. I am guessing my issue is the fact I did not fully charge the batteries prior to he weekend. I use fridge (on propane). I use limited LED lighting. Water pump has been off most of the weekend except for some limited dish cleaning. So based on the feedback I see here where people are dry camping for a week I can only deduce I had low battery at start of trip. Although I must say that the monitor in my room said batteries were two thirds full. In terms of the soul a question I only have a 20 W panel. What do you think I need to put anything in this to add in terms of wattage ?
