We noticed our slide, when closed, has a gap of about 2 inches on the bottom and the top is flush with the side. My question is: Is this normal? the dealership where we bought it from basically dismissed my question about it. I've looked at Schwintek slides videos until I'm blue in the face but haven't gotten a warm and fuzzy about it. Anyone there have the same issue?Re: Went to the dark sideKayteg1 The mosquitoes in Palm Beach County don't seem to be as bad as in years past. Maybe because the humidity has been down this year? Who knows. Lwiddis Yep. Doing that now. Still can't get my right from my left but experience will teach me how. Just like I learned from experience how to load the camper onto the truck. I made my own curse words the first couple of tries :) SidecarFlip I used to camp with only a tooth brush in my back pocket. Shesh what a change from then to now.Went to the dark sideWell, it finally happened. We traded in our Lance for a travel trailer. Two main concerns for us to make the choice was the fact that both of us were getting claustrophobic and for the DW was not being able to comfortably make the bed. Also the wet bath seemed to get really small over time. We loved camping in our Lance and it never let us down. Now I just have to figure out how to back up the darn thing :) Thank you all for the wealth of information you have provided.Re: Christmas in FloridaStop in at Robbie's Marina for a bite to eat and feed the Tarpon. :)Re: 19.5 tires running mixed brands and ratingsthanks all!Re: 19.5 tires running mixed brands and ratingsright now I'm running 70-75 PSI unloaded at all corners. When loaded I pump them up to 90 PSI at all 4 corners19.5 tires running mixed brands and ratingsI've got 19.5 (225 70 R19.5) tires on my 2008 GMC 2500. I'm currently running Continental HSR in the front and HDR in the rear. Theses are H load range rated tires. I can get a fantastic deal on 2 Goodyear G load range rated all position tires. My question is would I be able to replace the H rated tires with the less load range rated G Goodyear tires in the rear, which need replacing now? Would I see a difference in handling? The load range is well within what I would be hauling so weight is not an issue.Re: SuperspringsYes it is a DIY project. They make it so you can remove the spring pack when you're not using it and install it when you need it. I have the two leaf springs installed and it has worked out fine for me. It is a bit heavy to remove and install so I would suggest talking to them directly. They've helped me out in the past and give great support.Re: Learned Error Of My WaysI've got the 830s big brother, the 1040 and agree, it is a great design.Re: GMC/Chevy HD gasser questionI Don't tow but I do carry a 2 ton brick in the bed. (See sig) It carries it with no problem over highways grades in 4th gear at 3000 RPM about 60 mph. On flat land I keep it in 5th gear around 2200 RPM at 60- 65 MPH
