I does not have a seam on the back or front caps. It has never leaked. I has been always been stored with heat since new. We still travel three months each year, and the RV has 145,000 miles on it. I have always kept it clean and waxed. I am very happy with fiberglass. If you keep it maintained, it will last. Merry Xmas. LarryRe: Diesel Pushers Under 36 Feet in LengthI have a 30'1994 Monaco Dynasty purchased new, has 230hp Cummins, 3060 six speed, Allison and 140,000 miles on it. Propane Gen in the front. Weight 22500 lbs. I am so tired on hearing not to have a propane gen. It has been great since new and is very quite, 5000 watt. The RV handles as good as my 1996 Corvette six speed. Just kidding, but tracks down the highway just fine. So please don't let all the bad press on a propane gen make you not have one. Take care LarryRe: Diesel Pushers Under 36 Feet in Length TechWriter wrote: JCGibson wrote: We are wanting one that is 36 feet or less . . . Our budget will be under $100K and would prefer to get one that is less than 10 years old so won't have to do too much maintenance/updates. A little over 10 years old, but it's a CC: 2002 36' 350HP CC Alure Re: Diesel Generator vs LPI forgot to inform everyone that it also has a 45 gal LP tank.Re: Diesel Generator vs LPI am so tired of all the bad talk about a LP generators. I have a 1994 30' Monaco Dynasty DP, with a invertor/charger, and a 5000 Kolar gen. It runs about 1800 rpms, and is very quite. It has not giving me on bit of trouble. We dry camp 95% of the time. So please be happy what you have and leave us LP gen people alone. I bought this RV new in 1994.Re: How long are (have) you keeping your MH in retirementRetired in 1994, bought a 1994 30' Monaco Dynasty, 230 hp Cummins, 3060 six speed Allison, full body paint, otherwise every feature that this RV could come with. It now has 136,000 miles on it and it still runs and looks like new. I have kept the maintenance up to date, and it has been trouble free. We have hit every state, and providence in Canada. We now go for about three months in the winter, and a few weeks in the fall. It has always been in a heated shop connected to shore power. We are now close to our 80s, and still having fun.Re: Possible to run heat at night without killing your batteriesI agree with everyone that says to make sure batteries are in good condition, and to keep them fully charged after any length of use. I have 2 Interstate 4ds. They are wired parallel. I have a 2000 watt invertor/charger, and when I am ready to recharge the batteries with the generator, the charge will go as far as 90 amps (bulk charge) for about 2 minutes, then it will work its way down, until it goes to float. I have a heart remote that monitors the function. It is important to make sure if you are boondocking that you bring the batteries to a full charge. To double check I will test the batteries with a mulitester every once in awhile. I can also equalize my batteries when I am hook up to shore power. I have been doing this since I bought the coach new (1994 30' Monaco Dynasty 230hp 6speed Allision 50 amp). I also use the Buddy Heater during the waking hours. I also boondock 99 percent of the time. Sorry for the long rant. LarryRe: Ridgecrest CA to Death ValleyThanks Reasly, I learn something everyday. You saved me a lot of miles. Thanks again. LarryRe: Ridgecrest CA to Death ValleyAccording the California Highway Department, the route 178 from Ridgecrest thru to 190 is open. I have called them and searched their computer site there are no restrictions. If I am wrong I guess I will be backtracking. Will be going that way 1/14/14. If anyone knows any different information, would sure like to hear about it. Thanks LarryRe: Diesel Rig-- so Why Propane Generator ?Sure hate to see all the bad talk about a LP gen. I have a 1994 32' Monaco Dynasty (purchased new), it has the Kohlar LP gen 5000. It has a 45 gal propane tank. We have over 132,000 miles on the RV, and we dry camp 99 percent of the time. We have a 2000 watt invertor, charger, and I have never been close to running out of propane. The gen runs twice a day when dry camping to keep our 2 4D batteries charged. So anyway we think it is a great setup. Have a great day. Larry
