Even in LA if you walk into a T-Mobile office their primary concern is where you live and shop. The good news down here is at least now they have additional spectrum to build infrastructure in but it's currently clogged up by existing TV stations and one in proximity of the other ain't good depending on the channel the phone has chosen. I'm in possession of a modified T-Mobile phone built for engineering analysis of this problem and what it might take to get them to live together. Both LA and SFO have these additional channels and I've been able to get them both to work with minor antenna tweaks :) I just wish their coverage map really was a good as they advertise in the burbs. It's definitely gotten better though. My in-laws live in rural Pennsylvania, and two years ago I barely got a 2G signal. Now I get 4G LTE. I can definitely see that they are investing in expanding coverage. They have to start somewhere, and expanding coverage takes capitol. They gained subscribers and are now making investments. I live and work in the DC area, so coverage is fantastic for my daily needs, but traveling on interstates it has gotten better there too. I recently took a 4,100 mile trip using Waze and mostly had good data the entire trip.Re: Repairing water damage to sidewallGreat post. My Damon has a leaky window frame, and I will be doing this soon enough. Thanks for the pictures.Re: Old home made class AVery cool, I would have loved to have toured that coach. With the Jeep toad, I'm sure he and I would have been fast friends.Re: Staying overnight at Pilot Flying J? 2012Coleman wrote: I did this once, and it was a nightmare. now, I find a CG along the way, make reservations for one night, and sleep in peace and AC. How was it a nightmare? You can have AC just fine while boon docking. Just run your generator. It acts as white noise as well. I will agree that Flying Js would be noisy, but there are other options such as Walmart. I find the hassle of checking into a campground late at night to not be worth it personally, and would rather boon dock for just that reason. I only need to stop and sleep for 5 or 6 hours when traveling and don't want to deal with reservations and finding a spot when others are trying to sleep. To each his own though. Flying J would be better than dealing with a campground IMHO.Re: Indiana to DCI (born and raised in Indiana, now live in DC) prefer 68 over 70 any day. As long as your rig can handle some slight grades (I have a 2004 P-32 with Chevy 8.1 and a toad and do just fine) it is a much preferable route. 70 traffic can go from irritating to apocalyptic with just one accident, and the truck traffic on 70 is very thick. 68 has better scenery as well.Re: Pulled porkMy wife uses a crock pot with a pork roast slow cooked in root beer. When it's done drain most of the root beer and add your favorite BBQ sauce. It's delicious!Re: They're dropping us!!How many calls did you have?Re: It's always something JCat wrote: But Robert, If you ever head out to Palm Springs area I will gladly let you do my next repairs, if you are so inclined. I can provide you and your rig a free place to stay at Motor Coach Country Club, what do you think ? What I think is if you're going to own an older coach you should learn to work on it. Otherwise, it's going to be expensive as you've noted in your informative post.Re: It's always somethingSounds like you're farming this work out. I have had to fix my drawer slides too, but to the tune of less than $50 in parts. If you're not inclined to learn to fix your rig yourself, you will continue to spend that kind of money.Re: Working at Amazon - The Good the Bad and the UglyAmazon Thread Amazon Thread 2
