also the bottom of the area of the overhang has a clear plastic protection so there is only about an inch or two that is actually bare paint. thanks everyone.question about towing a 2016 jeep wranglerwe bought a 2016 jeep wrangler 2 door and today we got it back from the shop that put on the base plate. we got all the wires done plus the supplimental braking system. here's my question, i am reading the jeep manual and looking on line and youtube and it looks like the jeep doesn't have the locking stearing wheel. so when i put everything together and am ready to tow, will the front tires turn when making a turn or do they just stay straight and wear out the tires. and if they do turn, then what keeps the tires from turning when you are going straight down the road? one other question, here in PA we are very well known for having horrible roads, so if i am pulling my jeep along and there are dips in the road, that shows up unexpectidly, will the tow bars hold ok. it is that alot of the roads are very bumpy and going at 60mph there isn't time to slow down, so just curious if anyone experienced this and how they felt about it. thanks again for all the comments, they are greatly appreciated.Re: yellowstone we are a comingthank you for the response. we live near philadelphia and will be heading west from there, route 80 or the turnpike, haven't decided. but leaving from pennsylvania and can be making stops along the way. last year we left from florida in november across country and went to california and up to oregon and then back to PA via 70, staying below the freezing, we got back in march. we have our own business and work remotely so we have no timeline that's why we can be gone from a month to 6 months, we don't know or care, just trying to get some good ideas of where to go before the freeze hits, cause we can head south then no problem. thanks againyellowstone we are a comingwell we made a perfect purchase of a used 2015 winnebago view and we LOVE it. as we had made plans to go to yellowstone, we couldn't make it this summer but plan on getting on the road, very late august early september and was hoping for some input from those that have gone. is it going to be too late in september to camp in yellowstone? i saw a few of the campgrounds close like the 2nd week in sept? also, thinking that since school would have started, is it going to be less crowded? we were planning on hitting montana area as well afterwards, we just wondering if the snow hits early or if we will be ok. plan on going to mount rushmore so any advice is helpful. we were thinking of buying a toad to bring along, but thought it may be easier if we just rent a car, has anyone done this and any suggestions? also, our MH is a diesel so how is the gas station situation in yellowstone in trying to find diesel? we are just trying to get everything in order before heading out and looking for some good helpful tips, plus if you can recommend the best scenic campgrounds to stay at. our trip can last anywhere from a month to 6 months so we are open on anything. thanks all for your help ahead of time.planning a trip to yellowstone, road driving help neededhey all, we are planning on a trip to yellowstone for however long it takes us to see and have a great time. here's our question, we are buying a class c winnebage view that is 25' long, we don't want to tow a vehicle with us but instead want to drive around in the view and see the sights plus be able to pull over and enjoy the sights. so, is the view small enough that we can drive around in the roads and be able to park along the roadside or at attractions do they have parking for larger vehicles in the parking lots. also, has anyone just pulled over somewhere and spent the night drycamping or is that not allowed? i guess we are asking if driving a 25 footer is going to be too big or are we going to be ok. any help or advice you all have is appreciated. the width is 7'6"buying from a private sellerwe are planning on buying a MH from a private seller and I have a few questions that i hope someone can help with. we are not paying cash but will finance the purchase from a bank or someone. so does anyone know the process to go through for getting the MH in our possession, what i mean is, how does the bank give the money over without the title, lets say the seller has it financed as well and doesn't have the title in hand. then i need to get it registered into my name, i'm buying in florida but live in pennsylvania, so how do i get temporary tags. are there actually tag companies in florida that handle these transactions? i'm just looking for answers to help make this transaction go as smooth as possible for both sides. thanks2010 Dutchmen Dorado 24SAHello all, We are very serious and thinking about purchasing the 2010 Dutchmen Dorado 24sa does anybody have any information on Dutchman. Is it a good brand trustworthy etc etc. The motorhome itself is in good shape there's only about twenty five thousand miles on it so just trying to get information. is it a good motorhome to buy, I just can't find enough of any reviews plus can't see many for sale throughout the country, is that a good or bad thing, any help greatly appreciated RV forumtorn between two toadsThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29098316torn between two toadsso tomorrow we are going and signing the paperwork for our 2014 itascan sunstar 30t, can't wait very excited, but we are wanting a toad we can tow behind that is light weight and 4 down. we kind of narrowed it down to 2. 2014 fiat 500L manual and 2014 ford focus automatic (notice how we are keeping the car the same year as the MH,LOL) both are about price within 1000 bucks, no problem there. the fiat has no restrictions on speed or miles driving, the focus says max speed 70 (not really planning on going faster than that while driving the MH) and no restriction of miles. haven't driven a manual in 40 years, and the ford has more spunk. other than that they are both base models nothing special and don't need it. so, all you wonderful people out there, could use some advice as to which direction to go or any suggestions on a different light weight toad. need to make our mind up fast, want to start heading south by 12/10 and would still need to have someone install the blue ox towing package. thanks ahead of time for the responses.
