I get out to survey the spot and look for markers I can find in my mirrors to guide me (trees, tables, fire pits). I can get it backed in fine and usually hop out one extra time to see how far I need to back in (but I'm usually straight and "in" at that point). It never fails. Someone comes to "help" and usually gets in my way. They'll use a bunch of hand signals that I don't understand or stand where I can't see them. I feel rushed and usually wind up off center. I can say "I got this" or "no thanks" or "I'm used to doing this solo" and typically hear "no problem! glad to help! got nothing better to do!'.....ugh.Re: infiniti qx56 as tow vehicle. with a 10K 30 foot trailerSadly this happens more than you'd think. There are a few good TV shows that tout the RV life, people go shopping, and an RV dealer who wants nothing more than to get a rig off of the lot tells the buyer what they want to hear to make the sale. Driver is scared to death after driving the rig home from the dealer, after the sale is final of course. The buyer then decides to either to sell the RV and take a loss or go buy a bigger tow vehicle. Folks often do that before any damage is done. In the end, there are just not enough tragic stories of accidents due to "too much trailer, too little truck" to generate enough public interest to make change. There should be a brochure printed up that details how to read the weight stickers on vehicles and campers to educate the buyer. And it should be required reading before purchase.Re: two tvs off one dvd playerIf the DVD feeds the tv with an RCA cable: All you have to do is buy 3 y-adapters (female on all 3 ends): And 2 RCA cables. Instead of the dvd going to the tv, it will go into the single end of the y. One of the new cables goes from one y back to the original TV, the other goes from the other y to the new tv.Re: If a tire blows.....#1 Iffy tires = get new tires. Don't even think about it. #2 Not all blowouts ruin your trailer. I had a blowout on the interstate and was able to drive to the nearest exit and find a parking lot. I didn't lose control and it didn't damage the wheel well. I know that might be rare and I'm a bit lucky, but just because it wasn't a catastrophe doesn't make me want to push my luck with tires. #3 Check the condition of your spare.Re: Water issueWow! thanks for the quick replies! I will look at the check valve and roll from there.Water issueWhile prepping my camper for a boondocking trip, I put water in the holding tank to test my pump. Water pressure was really low and water was spewing out of the city water connector. Any idea what causes this?
