I don't tow so my current plan is to drive down and spend a few weeks touring, then store it for a month or so and fly back home (Western CO) Spend the winter flying down, touring with the rv for a few weeks and flying back, alternating my winter between home and warmer climes. Is it absolutely imperative to have advance reservations in places like Havasu or Rockport or is it just not possible to wing it a bit and hope for availability around arrival time.Re: Our visit to the Nexus factoryrv.net OR irv2, I'm on both!Re: Our visit to the Nexus factoryThat is great to hear Desert Captain and thanks for turning me onto this company. I pick up my 24P next week, and so looking forward to it! The company has been great to work with, I made a lot of changes and modifications and they accomodated all. For those on irv2 and this thread, we have an informal email "Nexi" group with about 9 owners and wanna be's now, and would love to have you join us. Its a very supportive and informative group, we each give suggestions to each other and share ideas. Contact me through irv2, abbyartsFavorite routes/campgrounds Elkhart to ColoradoI'll be picking up my new Nexus next month in Elkhart and driving back home to CO. I have time to meander a bit, like to stay off interstates and away from larger cities, see some small towns and nice camping areas en route. Any favorite roads posters here like?Re: From my B to a C - Recommendations?absolutely will be at the Supershow mid-January, wouldn't miss it, its great. Will re-check on the Cruisers, sounds like you're happy with yours.Re: From my B to a C - Recommendations?you are correct bobojay5. If that bed slide breaks,no bed. Nexus looks really good and fairly priced.Re: From my B to a C - Recommendations?Just checked out the Phantom, yes, that's very nice. Hadn't heard of them before. I'll look into that. Re the LazyDaze, I've had a longstanding love affair with them, beautiful vehicles but the layout won't work for me as I want a separate bed and dinette (or sofa) area. Have also liked Born Free for a long time but again, layout and $. I'll be looking at 3 more tomorrow and then can post the ones I've seen so far. Any you've had and hated?Re: From my B to a C - Recommendations?yes, I'm very impressed with the LTVs and almost chose their FS last week, an '07 was on one of the lots I visited, but decided to go with a C instead of the Sprinter B. If I find a used Libero I'll check it for sure, but otherwise I neglected to mention the small detail that my $ is 80k or less, and less is more. From my B to a C - Recommendations? After 5 happy years with my PW Lexor, I'm starting my research for buying my first C. I live in Colorado but drove the B to Tampa and will have frequent extended visits here with my dad through the winter, so plan to trade here as I am far from any inventory at home. I'm a research addict and am happy to visit loads of dealerships as well as the Supershow in January. I've seen about a 1/2 dozen units so far, new or used, gas or diesel, just depends on quality, reliability but 21-24', slide optional but prefer not, 80" bed length preferable and rear bed/bath combo desired, vented air, large rear window over bed (we'll miss those cargo doors on the B) Have you owned units like this and what can you tell me about your experience with them? Thanks for your input, I won't make a decision till after the new year so have plenty of time to make a good choice.Re: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?Dewinterized, deodorized and ready for fun. Gorgeous weather today made me just want to roll out and GO!
