We go outer beach camping so I need something to air down and drive over the dunes, yet also give some good mileage over the road. Any thoughts?? Since I've owned my F350 I've had the OEM tire, Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock 16" rims, a complete set of 19.5 wheels and tires and finally wound up installing (from Les Schwab) 18" with Toyo Open Country AT IIs size 285/70/18 rayed at 4080lbs. This final set up is by far the best handling, they have great traction, great wear and feel extremely solid under my camper.Re: Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement? That's what I did when I removed the Winegard crank up OTA antenna to make room for more solar. Winegard reception was also ****, at least where I generally camp. I cut an aluminum plate to match the footprint of the Winegard and mounted a RF barrel connector for future use. I took an RF connector that you would crimp onto coax and sealed it with RTV then screwed it onto the barrel connector to prevent water entering the connector until I added the Dish Tailgater you see mounted on the ladder. Before anyone gets excited, the wire routing you see was temporary. I had removed my Kyocera panels to make room for the AC, then had the AC installed before mounting the new Renogy panels. Excellent idea.Re: Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement? Do you remember the brand name of the antenna?Re: Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement?Bedlam that's good advice. Actually I don't know the answer as we usually play CDs rather than listen to radio. I will definitely check and take the appropriate action. ThanksRe: Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement?OK thanks guys. I think Glomex is no good for an RV and I'm not interested in putting something else on the roof. Sounds like I need to pull the coax in and do a small fiberglass patch/repair on the roof and call it macaroni. If I invest in a tailgater some day it can plug into the side mounted Cable TV connector.Re: Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement?Yes it's a Marine TV Antenna. It's not this exact model as mine was an '04 but it was similar. http://www.glomex.it/leisure/eng/antenna-tv-V9112-12AB.phpRe: shocks for f250 with camperKYB Monomax.Stick with Glomex antenna or get a better replacement? On a recent road trip going down into Shelter Cove Ca. we took a tree branch on the roof of our Northern Lite and it ripped the Glomex antenna off. Coax cable is serviceable. I'm either going to buy another Glomex or something better based on advice from here. I would call the factory and discuss your problem with them. I have called them in the past and they seem to be very customer friendly and want to help. Good Luck, Brad They're great until you need a NEW jack. They told me I had over-extended one of my jacks. I explained to them that it wasn't possible to be over-extended as I hadn't extended it more than 12" when it seized up. Wouldn't budge electrically or with hand crank. Fortunately I could continue driving the rig and didn't miss our trip, just couldn't unload the camper. South Hill RV ended up replacing it for me but HappiJack wasn't going to budge, really pissed me off. BTW Happijack made this assumption without ever seeing the jack.
