So if you finance it thru the dealer and perhaps get a bit better deal, then you could immediately pay off the loan.Re: Web Site Authoring SoftwareWordpress (in my opinion).Re: The new ST tires. Fact or fiction (marketing)To each their own - that's a decision I made. My brother-in-law uses LT tires on his fifth wheel and he's had far more blowouts than I have sticking with ST tires. Life would be very boring if everybody thought exactly the same way. Happy trails to you!Re: The new ST tires. Fact or fiction (marketing)The new Goodyear Endurance tires show some promise - and I have them on our new Cardinal fifth wheel (since the day after we bought it). They are American Made so far are very smooth riding. Before each trip (we use our trailer a minimum of 8 days/nights each month) I check air pressure in each tire and so far it's been 80 PSI in every tire before every trip. Previous tires almost always lost some air during the month and I'd have to add 3 to 10 pounds. Time will tell, but I'm a happy owner of Goodyear Endurance tires so far. I know the naysayers will say they're not going to pay to be a tester for Goodyear - but, after some serious damage from a blowout with a previous trailer (another brand of tire) - I'll happily pay for quality and that's what I see from this Goodyear tire. Are they government tested/rated - can't tell you that.Re: Cardinal 5ersYesterday we were picking up our 2017 Cardinal from our dealer after some minor repairs and one of the repairmen was absolutely amazed by the Lippert OneControl and my ability to control everything from my iPad. It's a shame they don't do more training for both sales people and repair folks.Re: Before pulling out... valhalla360 wrote: One thing we have found is we each have our own jobs...don't try to help the other one out as that leads to mistakes. Precisely!!Re: To Good Sam or Not to Good Sam that is the questionI can't comment on the "no phone service" but I have Good Sam Roadside Assistance and had a blowout on my fifth wheel, called and they said it was going to be about an hour and 15 minutes before they could get someone to me. I told them I'd wait. Then, a nice young man stopped and helped me change the flat. I asked if could pay him and he refused. I gave him $40 and told him to take his wife out to dinner on me...and he smiled and accepted it. I called to cancel the roadside service and explained what happened and they asked if I'd like a refund on the money I spent. By the time I got home from my trip I had a refund check in my mailbox. More than fair in my opinion. And, I've used them a couple of other times (once on the road and once as I was pulling into the RV park and setting up). No complaints whatsoever. I'd suggest posing your specific "no phone service" question directly to them in advance.Re: Before pulling out... NanciL wrote: I have never had a problem forgetting any thing since I always do a walk around, and then another walk around and then one last walk around. My biggest fear is forgetting to hook up the cable between the trailer and the truck, so I always put some sort of item in the middle of the drivers seat, and that is my reminder. My wife does all the inside stuff and does a great job of it. I think the name of the game is go slow and methodical Jack L My wife handles the inside (and also does a great job) - then I do a walk-thru the inside with her. I do the outside, then she does a walk-around with me before we leave. It's worked for 12 years and the "slow and methodical" is the ONLY way to go.Re: RV parks do not honor advertised rate when booking?I've experienced this enough that now I specifically ASK before making the reservations. If they say there is no guarantee...I forget them and decide on another RV park. In my opinion there is no excuse for that type of business ethics (or lack thereof). Reputable RV parks are happy to send you an email with confirmation and a guaranteed rate.Re: Galveston TX area parks any rd but main rd wrote: spent a week at Dellanera rv park on the island ,it is at the west end where the sea wall ends. you are right on the beach paved sites and roads small store and is very close to the city. check it out.
