This is part of my search, looking for people who have had them and can tell me about them. All I am finding are sales pitches, on ALL brands, don't know which ones to believe. Like the floor plan of the Leprechaun, not seeing other brands that I like the floor plan, but don't want to buy a bad unit just because I like the layout.Opinions on Coachmen Leprechaun PleaseThinking of purchase a new unit this year and wondered what the consensus is on the Coachmen brand, Leprechaun model. Anyone with experience with the brand would be extremely helpful to know what you think about the product. Thank you in advance for your input.Re: Has anyone used Poopourri in an RV toilet? Roy&Lynne wrote: Dangers of Air Fresheners "In no way, shape or form does a chemically-scented fragrance and/or aerosols propelled by butane, propane or other toxins create an indoor environment of fresh air. Chemical "deodorizers" or chemical air "fresheners" only mask other odors. These products do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of indoor air, and in fact, can contribute to a host of ailments from headaches, high pulse rate and nausea; to mention a few. Reports of the dangers of chemical air "fresheners" are just beginning to make the news. A recent MSN article stated that being exposed to air "freshener" chemicals as little as once a week can increase your odds of developing asthma symptoms as much as 71 percent and can contribute to an increased risk of a number of pulmonary diseases. The article went on to state that "A 2006 study showed that people with high blood levels of the chemical 1.4 dichlorobenzene -- commonly found in air fresheners -- were more likely to experience a decline in lung function." A September 2007 TIME magazine article, 'How "Fresh" is Air Freshener' reported that the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) discovered that most chemical air "fresheners" contained variable amounts of substances called phthalates (pronounced THAL-ates). Besides the use of phthalates used as sealants and adhesives and to soften plastics, they are also used to dissolve and carry fragrances. The TIME article went on to report that "phthalates are commonly found in a variety of products, including cosmetics, paints, nail polish and children's toys -- and have long been at the center of a larger international controversy over their health effects." Above is a quote from the article on the dangers of Air Fresheners and I believe in the small confines of an RV your odds of getting sick are much better. This product is not an aerosol and it is made of essential oils.Re: Has anyone used Poopourri in an RV toilet? 2oldman wrote: Posts with poopourri in them ..lol Thank you for the link, however I don't think those folks understood the use of the problem. It is not for use for stinky systems, it is to eliminate any order while one is using the facilities. It helps to be discrete, and in such close quarters as an RV I thought it would be great. I use it at home, but just wondering about the safety to the RV waste systems. MaribethHas anyone used Poopourri in an RV toilet? The company says it is safe for RV toilets, anyone have any specific experience with this product? Thank you MaribethRe: Please tell me about IowaThank you IABoy and Clonefan, appreciate your views and details on the State Parks, I am beginning the planning now and with all the help here I am sure I will have a great trip. MaribethRe: Please tell me about IowaThank you to those of you who have offered their positive opinions about Iowa. The things you have mentioned are exactly why I want to spend a month there (in addition to visiting my sister, and taking a photo of all 99 county courthouses). If anyone has any specifics on campgrounds I would really appreciate some specific reviews. I see there are quite a few State Parks and was wondering what the "personality" of these parks are. Are they quiet or party places. Do they feel spacious or do you feel like you are crammed together. Are there other places to camp other than the State Parks? We have not usually used RV parks, but if there are nice spacious/scenic ones we would consider those as well. Thank you for any and all info anyone offers. I appreciate you time and effort to provide me with good ideas for my trip, I am really excited and hope it comes to fruition. MaribethPlease tell me about IowaI am a southwestern girl, but I am planning a month long tour of Iowa in 2014. I think I want to go in September. Trying to avoid tornado season and hot humid summer. But please, tell me everything there is to know about RV/camping in this State. Best time of year, best places (we like lots of space, very quiet and we do not mind no hook ups. I was looking at the State Parks, can't tell if they are nice or not, routy, busy, or are folks kept in line? Everything you can tell me will help me plan my dream vacation, so thank you in advance for all the advice you can give me. MaribethRe: Satellite Phone CoverageThank you everyone, It seems that there is just no sure bet for coverage. It limits our ability to RV/Camp right now as I am still working and husband intended to go ahead and set up camp (roughly 5 hours away from our home are many of our destinations) and I was going to drive up after work. It is too late to leave after work and try to set up camp, but without confidence that we have coverage for contact should something go wrong on the road, we don't feel we can risk having me drive to the destination alone. I appreciate everyone's help in this area, we will keep trying to think of a solution to our current dilemma.Re: Satellite Phone CoverageI have contacted Globalstar and they have explained their coverage, I was inquiring specifically to those who have experience using their product. I have tried finding other forums specifically focusing on customers opinion of Globalstar but I have been unsuccessful thus far, and was just inquiring here in the case that there may be RV users who have had experience with this product. The monthly cost is relatively low, however the cost of the equipment is substantial, and I am trying to get real experience opinions before I shell out the money for this. Our cellular is TERRIBLE!!!! in the areas we tend to visit, and I am trying to find something that will be reliable. Thank you.
