What to do?Thanks Chris.......sounds like you know your stuff!Re: NEW Dodge 2013 Ram 3500 4x4 -> ride is horrible! What to do?I am the author of this post/blog/thread...and I must say after 2 years the ride has mellowed out even with tires filled to specs. Yes...I know it's not a Cadi and will never be, but I'm so happy that it does ride better now that it is a little broken in. Thanks for all who commented -- positive or not.Re: Need recommendations: Drinking/RV/Boating Hose Tvov wrote: Well, you probably won't have anyone else bothering your hose -- purple colored water lines and connections usually mean non-potable (do not drink) water. This may be a regional thing, though. Hmmm.. on reading the link, the manufacturer states it is "safe to drink from" - which is fine, just seems odd that they colored the hose purple. The reviews mostly seem good! chakatania wrote: I'm going to try this hose I found on Amazon that seems to be able to take everyday heavy usage....and supposedly high water pressures....and YES...different then the white hoses in color but is "Lead Free" http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006CFYD9Q/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1 It's purple or "eggplant" colored! Will have to repost an update or review after I've tried it. Manufactured in the United States using 100% lead-free, BPA-free, top quality, UV stabilized FDA & NSF grade polyurethane Solid chrome-plated machined brass fittings provide a long-lasting, never-tarnish, durable hose fitting which also prevents lead from leaching into the water Specially engineered strain reliefs on both hose ends to prevent hose kink; Flexible in all weather conditions, even freezing temperatures 4-5 gallons per minute flow rate--plenty for most any job around the home, garden or shop Soft, flexible and effortless to use; Hose weighs only 3 pounds for every 50 feet .....also comes in "Cranberry", "Espresso" & "Olive Green". Pretty "fancy-schmancy". :BRe: Need recommendations: Drinking/RV/Boating Hose accsys wrote: Safety and taste could be two vastly different things.....just sayin' :B Yea.......I know. Whole different topic / whole different post. I need to look into that too. I saw a guy who daisy chained two filters between the CG spigot and his trailer. I think I can get those at Home Depot. Gotta do the research on that...........:BRe: Need recommendations: Drinking/RV/Boating Hose Jim Shoe wrote: I buy gallon jugs of distilled water at grocery stores. I use it for my internal use. Coffee, cooking and tooth brushing (or in my case, soaking). Its pretty cheap. At CGs, I hook up a white hose, but that doesn't tell you where the water in the pipe came from or what somebody (or some dog) did to the tap before you got there. That water is for external use. I'd use a regular garden hose, but I don't want the neighbors to talk. :) I too found that I can buy Crystal Geiser, "Sprouts" or other brands for $1.00 a gallon and use that as coffee, tea, cooking (especially pastas) and tooth brushing. That's a very true statement.........we can use a RV/Boat hose but if the water in the RV tank is stale or like you said....don't know where the source is or what dog marked on it.....the type of hose makes not much matter.Re: Need recommendations: Drinking/RV/Boating Hose wintersun wrote: Have you got a pressure regulator at the hose bib of your house? It might have been a defective hose or your water pressure may be too high. Anytime you have a produce manufactured there will be some that incur defects in the process. I cannot begin to remember all the things that I have bought in my lifetime that have broken or failed. For drinking water supply one the road I carry two 25 foot long hoses and one 10 foot long hose. 90% of the time the 10 foot hose is all that is needed. If I need a longer hose it usually requires combining 2 or all 3 of the hoses to get the length that is needed. This approach also means I have a backup should one hose fail. If this is all you have to fret about consider yourself very lucky. That is so smart to have multiple hoses rather then one long one for redundacy & backup. Will start doing that. And we have a pressure regulator in the laundry room....but you are probably right again that our water pressure is too high at our outside spigots. I'll ask the hubby to check that or we'll just keep busting these more delicate hoses. Garden hoses seem to do well but they are thick and strong. Your post has been truly helpful. Thanks! :BRe: Need recommendations: Drinking/RV/Boating Hose tad94564 wrote: I have these: Camco drinking water hose and my biggest beef with them is they will not coil back up at all. I had the Camco also (before it burst)...and I agree...it did not coil up and would kink.Re: NEW Dodge 2013 Ram 3500 4x4 -> ride is horrible! What to do? I wanted a dually and hubby thought it would be too wide and big as it's his everyday ride. I love the look and road attitude it exudes. Hope we don't regret not getting one.Re: NEW Dodge 2013 Ram 3500 4x4 -> ride is horrible! What to do? Cummins12V98 wrote: What did you end up with for air pressure? Great question.
