I might try Goblin State Park.Canyons of the Ancients National MonumentWe are leaving Colorado Springs next week heading to Hill AFB in Provo via four corners. I would like to spend a few days boondocking around Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Anyone know if there is an area suitable for a 40'Class A?Re: Best leveling pads under jacks of 18k lb. class A?Treated 2x12 and 3/4" exterior plywood. Cut each into 12x12 squares. Then made a 2x12 and plywood sandwich. plywood--2x12--2x12--plywood. I have four of those and two with an extra 2x12. They are heavy and require a bit of room however, they are hell for strong.Re: Shower sunshade?I cut a piece of 3" thick foam slightly larger than the skylight. friction fit it in place and closed the "blind". If I want it real dark, I place a towel over the foam before putting it in place. Total cost around $4.00.Re: Levelling my class A coach.Just to be clear. The leveling being discussed is for a RV fridge. I think a residential fridge does not require leveling beyond make sure you don't roll out of bed level. Is that correct?Re: OverheatingDon't know about your coach. On my Alfa there is room between the CAC and the radiator for grass, wrappers, random******to be sucked up and acculate. This will reduce the air flow. Also both the CAC and radiator can get oil and road grime build up. Both of these make my coach overheat then suddenly work fine only to overheat again later. The fix was cheap but requires abit of crawling around. Use compressed air to remove the debris between the CAC and radiator then pray a degreaser on both the radiator and CAC. Let it sit for a few minutes, spray off from both sides. Use a strong spray nozzle.Re: How Tall is your Rig?My Alfa is 13'6" with bags inflated.Re: Age and RV52 and 30 40ft DP. Had a class C moved up to a 37ft. DP just moved up to the newer 40 ft DP.Re: Snake in a basement of DP!Many years ago my uncle Mike loved to run trotlines on the Neches River in East Texas. Well one day I dropped by to visit and found him patching the bottom of his aluminum jon boat. As the river was running high I knew he had not hit a tree limb, so I asked what happened. “Cotton Mouth fell in the boat”, he said. Well said I “how big was this snake to have put a hole in the boat”. Uncle Mike put his hands on hips, shook his head and gave me a look that said I was the dumbest thing he ‘d ever seen. Exasperated he said, “Boy the snake falling didn’t make the hole. The shotgun I used to get him out caused the hole.” If you want to use Uncle Mikes snake removal system and it works every time here are the steps. Step one: shoot the snake Step two: repair the hole
