Put some before and after pics up!Re: New member looking to purchase first travel trailerYour payload is actually pretty good for that trailer, but DITTO on the comment to get the truck weighed, full of gas, loaded with all passengers as you would be for camping. You will definitely want a weight distribution hitch. When you get the truck weighed, take the GVWR for the truck, minus the actual weight of the truck - that will tell you how much payload you have left to cover the 60lbs or so for the WD hitch, and the tongue weight of the trailer.Re: Researching Before 1st PurchaseYou'll be fine with the smallest. You may be able to tow the other two. Load up your TV with your family and gear for calling, plus a full tank of gas and get it it weighed. That will tell you how much payload you have left to take the tongue weight of the trailer.Re: I'm now completely confused about tow vehiclesAt that price range, a half ton or 3/4 ton, but if you buy a half ton, buy carefully - all half tons are not made equal, and many 1/2 tons won't have the necessary towing capacity and cargo capacity to tow that TT.Re: Slide out floor glueYou haven't mentioned what kind of plywood you are using. Make sure you use an exterior grade plywood but NOT treated plywood. Treated plywood contains chemicals that will corrode the aluminum frame.Re: I need a little advice on what direction to go to fix thisCongrats on the fix.Re: Buying TT with delaminationYou are absolutely right. RUN from that one. With an aluminum sided camper, you have to do what you did - look for water damage from the inside. The difference between an aluminum siding camper, and a laminated camper is the aluminum camper is easier and cheaper to fix - delamination is very hard to fix. Delamination occurs because the substrate behind the outer shell has got wet, separating from the shell.Re: What should I do with my Travel Trailer? Student needs help!Ditto on pretty much everything above. Can't advise you on whether to stay in a TT or move into an apartment - thats a lifestyle question. Don't put money into that TT - if you open that wall up, you will find a lot of issues, and you'll end up needing a lot more than $2500 for a proper rebuild. If you want to stay in a TT, flip it and put your money into a better TT. By the way - if you do intend to get a better TT, start looking now, and avoid anything with water damage. You may be surprised what you can find....Re: Our new diesel pusherWithout pics, it didn't happen!Re: Condensation in our stored MHPut in several bowls of dessicant, and replace them on an ongoing basis.
