it may be a little longer but there are more "big" cities and it's all Interstate (easier drive) if you take I-90 from Gillette, WY to Bozeman, MT Then Bozeman, MT down to West Yellowstone and West Yellowstone to Idaho Falls. Bozeman to West is a beautiful drive. It follows the Gallatin River and you'll go by Big Sky Ski Resort. did you ever decide on a toyhauler? I just did a quick search with THOR, HEARTLAND, KEYSTONE (part of Thor) & FOREST RIVER. Here are a few that I found. They are mostly Travel Trailers. Heartland Pioneer RG28 XLR HYPERLITE 3212 (12'-6" garage) XLR MICRO BOOST 29XLRE (13' garage) XLR BOOST 29XLRX (13' garage) KZ SPORTSTER 311TH10 If you want to stay at or below 36' & want a fiver toyhauler your best bet is an open floor plan (no separate garage).
