It appeared that my main problem was using a GFI outlet. I turned off my fridge, and plugged into a non GFI, and bingo, everything worked just fine. ThanksKeep tripping 110 breaker when plugging inI have attempted to plug in my RW (50amp) into a 110 outlet to charge the batteries, but each time I tried to plug it in it tripped the breaker. I went through checking to ensure everything was off, but each time I plugged it in it trips the breaker. I am thinking that maybe it is the refrigerator that may be causing my problem. I initially was unable to find a way to turn of the frig, but just read of a possible way to do it. I will try this tomorrow and see if this will solve my problem. Has anyone had this type of problem? If so, what solved it? ThanksRe: Purchasing an extended warranty from the dealership? Bird Freak wrote: Take the money and put in a rv repair account. I second this approach. Why not have your money work for you, not for a company. Have this money in an account that is drawing interest for you, and in the event you don't have any issues with your 5th wheel then you still have this money.Re: Dealer blew me off!! I provide this information to several dealers and had them work to provide the best deal. It has worked well for me. I got my truck at the price I asked for, and got my new 5th wheel at 40% off MSRP. It will take time and patience's on ones part to do all the researching and communicating with the different dealers. Also, at least for my 5th wheel purchase, I believe timing played a part in the good deal I got....end of the year and they want to move older stock. Good luck, and try you have fun with your purchase. True...buying an RV and trying to get warranty work done is different than when buying a car or truck. I wish it weren't so...but it is. Very valid point. Especially when there are limited number of certain dealers. As an example, I just purchased a Redwood 5th wheel and there is only one dealer that I know of in Colorado; which is over 100 miles from my location. I did research their service department, but there jury is still out on that.Re: Dealer blew me off!! Now calling back.Everybody is different when it comes to buying something like an RV, or auto. The dealer wants to sell me a product they apply to the RV that, "creates a transparent barrier of polymeric coating that protects and seals out the elements". It comes with a five year warranty which states they will repair any fading, or environmental damage. OK, that's great, but I feel a cover would provide more protection. So, the possible problems with a cover is, as I mentioned earlier, they can be hard to put on, they can be damaged in winds, but the one thing I worry about the most is the rubbing of the finish. It has been many years since I have purchased a cover and wonder if they have improved over the years. Are they more durable, are they made to protect the finish? Personally, I don't mind the effort to put on a cover, but would I be doing more damage to my finish, than I would be protecting it from the elements? Thanks for posting it. I'm sure all the options the 5th wheel has is a factor on the end price. Haven't obligated myself yet, but feel pretty good so far about how things are turning out. DanRe: Negotiated to this price on a 2015 RedwoodGaryGus, Thanks for your reply, but could you explain what you mean by the real MSRP. I had them print out the MSRP build sheet with all the options. I understand that dealers, be it RV's ,or auto's can and do change their MSRP's to make a deal look better, but after months of looking at these Redwoods I have found almost all of them had MSRP's in the $120K's. DanNegotiated to this price on a 2015 RedwoodBeen working hard negotiating a price on a 2015 Redwood 38GK. The MSRP is almost $125,000. I believe I have pushed as far as I can go with a price of $75,000. That is 40% off MSRP. I'm sure this is pretty good, but I would like to hear the option of those who has purchased a 5th wheel. Also, if anyone that reads this that has a Redwood 5th wheel I would like to hear your comments, good or bad. I have had three motorhomes, but this will be my first 5th wheel. Thanks, DanRe: Months of searching as let me to this...I recently purchased a 2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ 3500 diesel dually. I believe it should do the job as my tow vehicle.
