Negotiated to this price on a 2015 Redwood

Been working hard negotiating a price on a 2015 Redwood 38GK. The MSRP is almost $125,000. I believe I have pushed as far as I can go with a price of $75,000. That is 40% off MSRP. I'm sure this is pretty good, but I would like to hear the option of those who has purchased a 5th wheel.
Also, if anyone that reads this that has a Redwood 5th wheel I would like to hear your comments, good or bad. I have had three motorhomes, but this will be my first 5th wheel.
Thanks,
Dan
  • If you really believe that MSRP, then you made a heck of a deal. In fact, you made a better deal than I have been able to attain on seven new RVs sine 1973. I think not.
  • GaryGus,
Thanks for your reply, but could you explain what you mean by the real MSRP. I had them print out the MSRP build sheet with all the options. I understand that dealers, be it RV's ,or auto's can and do change their MSRP's to make a deal look better, but after months of looking at these Redwoods I have found almost all of them had MSRP's in the $120K's.

This is great information. Thanks for posting it. I'm sure all the options the 5th wheel has is a factor on the end price. Haven't obligated myself yet, but feel pretty good so far about how things are turning out.

  • I have no issue with your final price. I just think that MSRP is a made-up number. If you're happy with the deal, then I'm happy for you. I hope you enjoy the unit!!!!
  • The MSRP on identical units will be different between dealers!
    WHy? Who knows.
See a MSRP here. it may not be exactly the same but you can call them annd ask how much they want
That being said the general consensus is 30% or more off then you are doing okay.
Now try to get things thrown in. Suggestions are Full propane tanks, First year or 2 storage and winterization. Spare tire and carrier if none provided. Tripod.

You get the drift I hope
