The next time we went with a Keystone Montana. The issues we have had with it are to numerous to mention. We will never go Keystone again. Jayco is definitely the better choice.Which balance beads where to get installed near Houston, TXI want to use balance beads in my new G614 tires but I do not know which beads to use or where to get them installed. The dynabeads supplier in NY says that I need the larger beads for an RV and they will not go through the valve stem and should be installed by someone experienced with them so as to not get the sealant gunk inside the tire and stick to beads. Which beads are you using by brand and size and how were they installed? If I need an experienced installer, do you know of one near Houston, Tx. ?Tire Balancing-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am changing to Goodyear G614 tires on 16 in rims for my 2010 Montana 34RL. The dealer on has center holding wheel capability but can borrow the finger holding set. Treditt which manufacturers the wheel rim says they are meant to be center balanced only by use of finger balance method which picks up bolt holes.y Montana dealer says they do not balance their tires unless they get a reason such as large vibration. I have had two tier places try to balance these tires and each time they get a balance at one place on the balancer and the rotate the tire about 90 degrees the next time it shows out of balance. Is my dealer correct in that you do not need to balance fith wheel tires. and has anyone else had this experience?Tire BalancingI am changing to Goodyear G614 tires on 16 in rims for my 2010 Montana 34RL. I have Treadit TO4 8 aluminum wheel rims which are rated for the 110 psi and the 3750 pounds but they are 16x6 size rims and the Goodyear site says the G615 235/85/16G uses a 6 1/2 rim. Have any of you changed to G614's with Treadit rims or what size rims are you using and manufacturer plus experiences. I am wondering if the 6 vs 6 1/2 rim width is significant.Re: Want to upgrade tiresThanks for all of the discussions. I would like to know what size of each G rated tire any Montana users have purchased and run.Want to upgrade tiresI have a 2010 Montana 3400RL with a total (ship+max carrying-tongue)weight of 13540 pounds and have been using GY Marathons 235/80R16 and blowing out tires and damaging sides of RV. I would like to upgrade to a better tire ( maybe a G rated tire or an LT tire but do not know which. Also how can I find out what pressure my rims will take in the tires. Montana will not tell me the pressure rating of my RIMS.Diesel MPG and fuel additivesI recently purchased a RAM 3500 DRW with a 3.73 rear and ASIAN transmission. I am not using any fuel additive at this time. I only get about 14-15 MPG not towing at 65 on level ground and about 7-8 MPG towing a Montana fifth wheel on level. Is this all I can expect? my older 5.9 with 4RE transmission got 21 not towing and 11 towing on level at 65. I would like to know what MPG others are getting and with what vehicle and what fuel additives they are using with new diesels.which hitch revisedMore info as requested. I have a RAM long bed 3500 DRW 2014 model and I plan to pull a Montana fiver about 17K gross wt. I wanted the new B&W OEM for RAM but Paula says it is on hold due to tolerance issues with the measurements RAM provided and the first trucks it was tried in. May have to go with the Reese picture frame rail and either a Reese, Curt, or Pullrite ISR hitch.I am not familiar with rail hitches. Does the rail to hitch interface rattle and which is the best hitch and why. Looked at Curt Q20 yesterday and it looked strong but the head has very little side to side movement capability and no front to back rocking capability. Reesee 30081 hitch legs looked weak to me and have not seen the Pullrite or other options. If anyone is using these rails and a hitch I would be interested in your setup and experience. Also recommendations from all of you.which hitchI need ahitch to fit my new 300 ram with factory prep. B&W has put their RAM OEM on hold due to tolerance issues. I may try the reese picture frame plus either a reese 20k select rail hitch or a curt Q20. Want a B&W but not in game now. which is better the reese or the curt and why?
