How does one get around this issue.Re: Advice on Eternabond on my fiver roofAgree. Also, be sure to properly clean before applying the tape. I used a wallpaper edge wheel to activate the tape. I then applied caulk on the edge. I finished with a coat of UV protect paint. All Eternabond products.Re: Dinghy Towing a 2013-16 Ram 1500 LaramieThanks! Need to verify that the front wheels do steer freely once the vehicle is put in the dinghy towing mode and the ignition is turned off. If I get no response, I will design my own and share it. ThanksRe: Best way to remove sealant/caulk?Anything with distillates in it will weaken your gel/clear coat and cause faster oxidation.Re: Looking for our 1st 5ver, many questions....It is great that you are concerned and focusing on your truck limits when deciding on a 5er to pull. A lot of RVers out there have exceeded their truck's GVWR and do not care. Two more suggestions that you should think about: 1) Note the GVWR & CCC of your 5er as well. Most 5ers are a little short on CCC (added water & personal "stuff" weight capacity). This is very important especially if you are full timing. Also important if you are planning to add a generator and/or solar. 2) If you buy a new 5er, be sure to weigh it before you buy as the factory certified shipping weight is not always correct (personally experienced 1400# difference which resulted in me returning the RV for full refund - "breach of contract") I just could not full time with my CCC reduced by 1400#. My personal rule of thumb for CCC is 1500-2000# for full time and additional 500-1000# if adding generator and/or solar. (I have seen 5ers with CCC as low as 500-800#. We both love it and are planning another 10 years provided our health holds out. We reduced our average daily RV site expenses from $29/day in 2011 to less than $5/day in 2015. We accomplish this with a combination of solar power, boondocking & volunteering with various service & club organizations that provide free/low$ full/partial hookups along our RV journey. All the info is available on the internet, we just focus on free/low$ RVing instead of expensive RV sites. It's not for everyone, but we enjoy the challenge & goal of living our dream as inexpensively as we can. Have Fun & Enjoy!Eastern USA Boondocking & VolunteeringWe are RV boondockers w/ solar and are planning a 2016 RV adventure along the Appalachian mountains from Florida to Maine. We are looking for 1-4 week RV parking stays where we can perform volunteer work for free RV parking w/wo full/partial hook ups. For example; in Virginia, I am told, an RVer can schedule 1 month periods volunteering within the state parks system. We have already experienced volunteering for NOMADS, Habitat, children's homes, churches, etc... We have successfully reduced our average RV site expenses from $29/day (in 2012) to less than $5/day (in 2015). WHAT HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED IN THE EASTERN USA? (we are not interested in Work Camping or Hosting as these positions are too lengthy of a stay) Thanks for your RV parking/volunteering suggestions.Re: Vail CO to SantaFe NM via I24>I285>I17Thank You All
