I have read that a lot of you have used the Allure vinyl product (floating planks) and that is what I was planning on using. I was reading the installation pdf and I am concerned about the part that says its not recommended for rv use. quote - "You can not install Allure in Solariums/Sunrooms, over Carpets, or any Exterior Application including seasonal porches, camping trailers and boats. Avoid long term exposure to direct sunlight. Failure to properly shade Allure from the effects of the sun can damage (buckle) the floor." AND "IMPORTANT NOTE - Heat and cold resistant: Our adhesive can not get down to 15F (-10C) or not higher than 95F (35C) for an extended period of time. Long term exposure to freezing cold or hot tropical temperature will damage the floor or cause the adhesive to fail " Since I live in Phoenix, AZ and our summer temps are over 100degrees you can understand my concerns. Has anyone on here experienced and problems with any of the issues mentioned ? Thanks in advanceRe: Mass to AZ in JanuaryJan and Feb are the coldest months here in AZ. In the Phoenix area expect over night lows to sink to the mid to low 40's with the occasional mid 30's. Daytime highs 50-65 or so and if the sun is out its shorts and T's for shure. Not anything to extreme for you (I would think)... ;-) If you venture to the higher elevations like Flagstaff or Payson, bring chainsRe: SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner antenna installationYou should be good as long as the disc (antenna) is facing up toward the sky. I have one in my house and it gets pretty good , but not perfect, reception through my roofRe: Stripped screw holes Stefonius wrote: Apply Carpenter's glue liberally to wooden toothpicks. Shove toothpicks into the hole until you can't fit any more. When the glue dries (24 hours), cut flush with the panel. Insert screw to make new threads. +1 Glue is a nice addition, but I've just crammed toothpicks in the hole then snap 'em off,,,, works greatRe: detours going north over Golden Gate BridgeI had to take this detour when I was there last month. (but not in my coach) It goes through the city a little bit and crosses Golden Gate Park. Added maybe 20-30 min to travel time due to some traffic lights. I should mention we drove it on a Saturday to eliminate commuter traffic. PS- If you want to stop for some pics, go to the other side of bridge (North side). The parking lot is big enough for RV and less crowded with people. Hope this helpsRe: Leaving rv plugged into 120v to run convertorWell, I checked my system its a magnatek 6345. Apparently not the best by todays standards, but gets the job done and the specs say it changes charging amps depending on the current state of the battery. Any one have experience with this mfr/model and what insights ? Thanks ps - sorry for the hijackRe: Leaving rv plugged into 120v to run convertor 96Bounder30E wrote: oilcan wrote: How can I tell if I have a charge wizard ?? I have a '94 Damon C class and am worried that if I leave it plugged into shore it will shorten the life of my battery. Find your converter and then find the model number.........unless your converter has been changed out......a 1994 RV would not have a charge wizard........ If you have a Progressive Dynamics(PD) converter then you probably have a PD-9055.......this model does not support the charge wizard........ A 9160 or a 9260 is charge wizard capable....... Thanks for the info. Without a wizard is it not good to kepp plugged into shore power ???Re: Leaving rv plugged into 120v to run convertorHow can I tell if I have a charge wizard ?? I have a '94 Damon C class and am worried that if I leave it plugged into shore it will shorten the life of my battery.Re: 50 amp/30 ampI was told that the AC will run,, but eventually you will have a meltdown on your cord, plug or worse (?) Check your plug and/or adapter for cracking or any other sign of excessive heat. Here is how I learned about this ; I plugged in my coach (110v) to cool the fridge and get ready for the weekend. When I went to check on it 3 hrs later, my AC was running (left the thermo switch on). Luckily I didn't have any meltdowns
