I just rotate it as far as it will go and then use a bungee cord between the release arm and a point on the hitch base to keep it from rotating. Works just fine.Re: US citizen buying an RV in CanadaSome additional info. It's a Carriage Cameo FW built in Indiana with a DOT sticker on the drivers side like all the others I've seen in the US.US citizen buying an RV in CanadaI'm in the hunt for a good quality used FW and found one in Canada. Has anyone from the US bought a trailer in Canada. I'm looking for info. on process, title/registration issues and costs, special taxes, etc. I'm trying to get a good picture if it's like buying an out of state trailer in the US or if there are a lot of extra barriers and costs. thanks! BillRe: Cameo Running Gear OptionThanks for the info gentlemen. I saw the option on a 2011 and 2012 Cameo brochure. I'm currently looking at a 2011 34sb3 model. My 2015 Chevy 2500 4 WD sits up pretty high so I think it may take some adjustment to get a good, level ride height and enough of a gap (6") between the bed rails the underside of the FW. Thanks again ! BillCameo Running Gear OptionCameo offered a running gear option which was called " raise axles for 4WD truck". Does anyone know what this involved ? Are there actual parts involved or do they just reposition the axle ? How can you tell if a FW has this option other than the trailer sitting a little high. The option is mentioned in brochures but there's no explanation of how it's done. Thanks, BillRe: Sunnybrook 33CKTS ownersI weighed my truck with the hitch in the bed and got 3380 lbs. at the rear axle. My rear tires combined are 6390 so that leaves about 3K for pin plus other weight in the truck. I weighed our last FW empty and loaded for camping and we carried about 1200 lbs of "stuff" so we travel pretty light. Estimated dry weight for the Sunnybrook is 12122 with est. pin weight of 2419. This is why I'm asking if there are any owners of the same FW who have actual pin weights. That said, the other feedback I'm getting so far is very useful to me so please keep it coming. Thanks !Re: Sunnybrook 33CKTS ownersTrailer GVWR is 15 K.Sunnybrook 33CKTS ownersI am looking at a 2008 model year of the above 5th wheel. I'm curious if there are any owners of this same trailer who have taken actual pin weights of this unit. I have the brochure which provides a pin weight but actual weights are likely different. I realize pin weight varies with load but I'm just curious what other owners have weighed in at. My tow vehicle is a 2015 2500 D-Max crew cab and I have empty weights of it. I know I may be cutting it close towing this trailer so I want to get as much info. as possible beforehand.I may be over on GVWR of 10K but should be OK with rear axle and tire maximums. Thanks !Re: Lifting my 5th wheel hitchI have a Superglide hitch which is pretty heavy. I use an engine hoist to lift it out of the bed. I then place it on a short rack with casters so I can move it around in the garage easily. I bought an iron pipe to use instead of the square extension tube which the hoist came with as it wasn't long enough. Been using this set up for over 10 years and works well. Pretty easy to handle by yourself. The hoist legs fold up and it has a pretty small footprint for storage. Good Luck !2007 Sunnybrook Titan slide issueLooking at a used Sunnybrook Titan 33ckts. Very nice condition but curbside slide doesn't deploy correctly and leaves a gap at the upper left corner extending down and across about half way on each run. I'm not comfortable with purchasing until I'm sure the problem can be remedied at a reasonable cost.Wondering if anyone has experience with adjustability of these slides. Also, does anyone know who the manufacturer of the slide mechanism is. I think the motor and gears are supplied by Barker Co, but not sure about the rest of the slide mechanism. Thanks, Bill
