My thought is to use the white led strip lights used on the back of pickups. it is self sticking, low profile and bright. I am considering wiring off a switch so when parked and disconnected from the truck I can use the lights for seeing behind the camper during the stay. I will run a hot line to camper system and install a switch either outside or right inside the camper door.Re: Dodge 6.4 hemisphere vs Chevy 6.0Thanks I like the Dodge and it is used with 10k miles. Chevy new and both at same dealership. Sounds like test drive time.Dodge 6.4 hemisphere vs Chevy 6.0Looking at 2014 ram 3/4 with trsiler package 3.73 gears and Chevy 2015 with 6.0 and 4:10 gears. Hauling 8000 lb camper bumper hitch. Future plans maybe 5th wheel 9000lbs dry. Have GMC 1/2 ton with to we ING package and 6.0 which I really like for power.Re: cape hatteras? We are going in April for a week. Staying sound side in 30ft trailercampgrounds on ocean NJ prt of wast coasthello looking for a campground 8 hours (+/-) from Maine in April. looking in Delaware, NJ, MD, VA area. 30' trailer first time out n this trailer. trying to stay warm, limit driving time and be on the ocean. Anyone got any great ideas? I have suggestions for Bar Harbor,MD and Tom's Cove VA just a little further then wanted to driveRe: CPAP machine w/ inverter. How much power?I run a cpap machine off a group 24 battery for three days. Machine had a 12v input and was able to buy a cord with alligator clips on one end and cig liter plug on other at auto store, picked up a cord on ebay from machine to the cord and away we go. during the day a run a solar trickle charge that is probably minor but if it helps a little in the daytime it helps lot at nighttime. Using a battery just for the machine provides a backup battery for camper as well. if i need to run the generator I plug the camper in to the generator and auto charger for the cpap battery, thus charging both same time.Re: norcold vs domestic refrigthank you for the information The refrig is in a slideout of a SP260 Surveyor. the fan makes sense for both reasons the noise and the slight more draw on the system. We like the camper but we have already decided the next slideout will not be the kitchen and a 5th wheel trailer. next step is find a way to turn off the radio back light. it is like a flood light. I like it dark when I sleep and do not use the radio when boomdoging.norcold vs domestic refrigi have two questions I had a Norcold and never made any noise my new camper has a domestic and when on gas, it sounds like motor running when it kicks on. is this normal? what does the 12v battery actual control on the refig. if the battery is low it will not light even when I hear the ignition kick on and the flame actually for a few seconds. I low battery lights the ignition but not the refrig. is there a gas valve the electricity opens? just trying to understand how it works. it also appears the domestic draws more electricity. just curious. I took it back and they heard nothing and charged me 20 dollars because no warranty work was done.
