I drain and fully flush the blank tank put in additive with a couple of gallons of water. I am getting a terrible stink after a day or so when I run the bathroom fan. So I drain the black tank and every time the colored water is bright and sparkling no sign of waste until ten seconds or so then the waste and paper will start to empty. It is almost like the additive is in the lower part of the tank not mixing with the waste in the rest of the tank. Any suggestions.5th wheel lengthSomeone please explain the difference between the model listing and the actual length of a 5th wheel. For instance I own a Jayco 36 reqs which is a 36 foot model BUT my overall length is something like 40 feet 8 inches. Is my trailer 36 feet or 41 feet? ThanksRe: Opinions on Lippert 6 pt. leveling systemIt does take a few times working it to get the hang of things .I was pretty hesitant thinking I would screw things up but after using it since last July when I got my unit it is the cats meow, and believe me when you hit that button and it does all the work you get lots of fellow campers having a look and commenting. GO FOR IT.Re: Curt hitchI have the exact hitch. It is excellent. My last was Reese and it was very good but the Curt seems to release easier when uncoupling. I would highly recommend.Re: RV spot near Vancouver for newbie's first trip?We have stayed at Pacific Border RV Park and found it very good.Hot tub, pool etc and we walked into White Rock.Re: Jayco fith wheelsI have owned a 2005 Designer, a 2009 Designer and currently own a 2012 36 REQS Pinnacle loaded with all options. Would not cool at all on gas or elec. Got to Enderby BC. and took it to Hillside Propane who have been repairing RV fridges for thirty years. They checked everything and advised that it was a faulty cooling unit. They replaced it and it works better than ever.Atco, who was the rebuilder in OR, advised that they do not warrant labour and if I return the old unit they will reimburse the dealer price to me not the retail price so it looks like I will be eating about$700.00 for my repair which never did work.Norcold model 1210 vin 14072298Got cooling problems, would not cool on gas setting. Had it checked at World wide RV in Mesa, AZ and they advised that it needed a service and this should be performed each year gave ok and paid the $180.00 charge. It worked for two weeks. Got to Florence, OR. last thursday and again it won't cool. This time the tech advised the cooling unit was defective and had to be replaced. $1320.00 LATER STILL WONT GET COLD on gas or electric. I am on the road entering British Columbia on the 31st. Any ideas folks, I'm going crazy.Re: rv directThey are the real deal. Factory ordered my Jayco Pinnacle through them and I can say nothing but GOOD things about them. PDI was great, the techs even came in at six am. to do the work because I arrived early. Everything was taken care of and because I live in Canada the customs papers etc. were all in a neat package and all went very well, thanks to the whole staff at their Des Moines dealership.Re: landing gear question....On the landing gear problem. Had the same problem and it turned out to be the 30 amp fuse holder at the battery. The fuse was not blown but I changed the complete connector and the problem was solved. I guess it was making a poor connection on occasion.
