I have had Michelins on several vehicles, and yes one of those times they applied a warranty for an issue and replaced all the tires as they were all from the same batch. Have been very satisfied with them and not going to switch now. Have been on other tires when purchased a vehicle or RV used, but back to Michelins soon as they need replacements. Good luck with your decision. Been very pleased with mine!Re: Yes, another tire question...At the least, keep the proper inflation psi for cold. Heat is one of the worst things for tires and leads to failures. Under inflated/overloaded tires creates lots of heat...very bad! Perhaps moving the load around if it could be better balanced, or steering stabilizer, or shocks or something suspension related. I recently spent money on tires and I want them to last. Proper pressure maintained is one of the best things you can do. Good luck!Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Finally got the Michelin XZA3+ 16 ply tires in stock (275/80 R22.5 LRH). I got (6) tires for $3723 through FMCA Program with date codes of "2515" for all of them. Got covers for my investment tires too! I sold the take-off almost 8 year old cracking TOYO tires for $296. Expensive transaction, but I got the tires I wanted! Finally got the Michelin XZA3+ 175 80 22.5 16 ply tires!Michelin finally sent some tires to the shop I wanted to work with through FMCA program. 6 brand new tires with a date code of "2515" which I believe translates to first week July 2015. Very happy to have new tires again! If you have been looking as well, some new tires are out there! I should mention I found some older tires at not such a nice place. He got to keep them, but I do feel for whoever spends this much money and gets old date tires! If they won't let you look at the date codes and they are curt with your request denial, bet there is a reason.Re: Do you let any maintenance items go longer than recommended?Great answers so far! I am going back to Michelin 16 ply tires on our RV, which is what it came with originally, I believe. We have had Michelins on wife's car, daughter's car, former camper truck, and former class c. They did replace one complete set due to cracking, which was nice. It is a very good product and they have not let us down. Don't get me wrong, the Toyos have been fine, but not what I would have put on, but the prior owner chose. I am not rich in money, but wealthy in family and for me, it will continue to be Michelins. I think tires can bring out passion in people, as they do in me. I begrudge nobody if they choose another brand, but I will choose to pay a little more because I think they are worth it.Re: Plugging in at home?We used to use an adapter and plug in for the basic stuff at home. Eventually put in a 30 amp and a 50 amp dedicated line near where we parked our RV and where my dad parked his RV when visiting so he could run everything if he wanted. Works well for us and wasn't too difficult a job to do with the expertise of my neighbor electrician.Re: Awnings and rainLove sitting underneath in the rain. Did that a lot in Tennessee and left it down, but the water runs off naturally or I have not ever leveled it off completely.Re: Using bleach to clean water tanksHave used bleach with no issues. Doesn't take too long to refresh either.Do you let any maintenance items go longer than recommended?Another post got me thinking about the annual maintenance we do on our RV's. And I am wondering what, if anything, you may let go longer than the suggested maintenance intervals? How long have you done it this way? Any downside to your experience? My tires are passed due, but waiting on Michelins to replace the Toyos and not driving it much or very far until then. I have changed my oil a little longer than a single season as well. I do everything myself so it usually gets done, but I may have that type personality and wanted to hear from others.Re: New ShoesI like the Michelin's too!
