Best deal I found.Re: Beach Stop When Travelling from WI to OrlandoWe will be staying in Destin west rv resort in Destin Fl. on our trip this summer. My kids are 13,15 and 17, so this will prolly be one of the last family big vacations... From Omaha to Destin is approximately 18-19hrs (about the same as you) which we will do in two days,so we will need a place to unwind, close to the beach and all activities, the last thing Im gonna wanna do is drive around Destin. From their website... "Staying at Destin West RV Resort is perfect for RV'ers who enjoy the comfort of their RV and the amenities of a beachfront hotel! In addition to what the RV resort offers, you also receive access to every amenity at the gulf front The Island by Hotel RL, a beachside resort. It's located on the Gulf of Mexico directly across the street. At The Island, you will enjoy the grotto pool with a swim up bar, hot tub, lap pool, lounge space and most importantly, beach access! The Island also has indoor and outdoor eateries including a beachfront bar and lobby restaurant. Other amenities include games on the beachside promenade and an exercise facility at Destin West Condos." Staying at the rv resort gets us close to all activities and full use of the hotel amenities across the street. https://www.destinwestrvresort.com/rv-resort-amenities Crab island and the boardwalk are all close by. https://www.destinvacationboatrentals.com/blog-post/crab-island-the-complete-visitors-guide-to-destins-most-popular-hangout/ Now the bad news. Its expensive to stay, $150 a night.Crystal River FL. area campgrounds.Recommendations on campgrounds in this area and possibly sites to see/things to do.Re: camping wildtoad wrote: Horsedoc wrote: Where you can walk around in a group of strangers, in your pajamas, carrying a bag of dog poop and still strike up a conversation. WalMart Good one !Re: Sarasota Fl. to Branson Mo. campsite suggestions. It sounded like we are there now in my last post so I edited it. We are not there now, however that is our final destination in our camping trip loop this coming summer.Re: Visiting Family in Memphis, need safe rv parkWhat about T.O. Fuller state park, is that safe? We will be staying there next summer.Re: Sarasota Fl. to Branson Mo. campsite suggestions. We love COE campgrounds. In fact will be staying at Indian Point COE park in Branson. Great suggestions so far, keep em coming.Sarasota Fl. to Branson Mo. campsite suggestions.Trying to tentatively plan the second half of our trip this summer and Im looking for recommendations. From Sarasota I would like to make it up to s.w./ central Georgia for our first stop. From there we will most likely stop at Gunter Hill Park, just west of Montgomery Al. for a couple days to just relax. From there Id like to drive at least five hours which would put us in the general area of north Mississippi., s.w. corner Tennessee., ne. corner of Arkansas (near Memphis) So Im looking maybe a two day stop in south Georgia and one day in north Miss. area.Re: Support while wheels are offId use 4 jack stands on the frame. This is just my opinion, but please do not use cement blocks to support your trailer.
