Re: Slides out or autolevelers down first?
Checked with Newmar concerning this topic and here is why always have air up,means slides out first, especially with the long side. First air will not be up if unit is leveled first. Coach frame has less chance of twisting if on the air bags, not the jacks, this means more support for the entire coach. I totally understand your problem with Freightliner. They have had this service problem before the covid issue. Dealers have told me corporate wants them to consider everyone on a first come first service basis regardless of appointments that is why there is a line up in the morning. It is best to find a dealer that will honor your appointment time. What I do is call my dealer for a 7:00am appointment,show up the night before,and camp in their lot. I have a 2018 Chev. Equinox premier every time when I tow 4 wheels down the battery goes dead. What am I doing wrong? No braking system attached,and a hot wire going from the coach to the battery with the center pin on the auto reading 12 volts to ground. Here is my procedure: 1 Engine on shift to N 2 Push switch (no foot on brake) now in ACC 3 Auto lights to off 4 Radio off,button held down 5 Heat off and AC off 6 Turn settings on 7 Turn display off What am I missing or what am I doing wrong? For anyone who is interested, the heavy trucking industry has stated that since 2009 diesel engines now are getting .2 MPG better mileage per year. This would mean if a engine was getting 6MPG in 2009 in 2019 that same HP engine will get .2 x9 or 1.8 MPG better mileage. Here is what I do which isn't listed. I have had all the same problems everyone has, a fellow RVer told me to do this LAST STEP and it works for me: go to the main screen (where the radio is displayed) hit (home) then (settings) then (display) then (turn display off). I haven't driven over 400 miles at one time but have driven over 4,000 mi. with car attached and no dead battery.351Views0likes0Comments
