Sure, rates change but it isn't hard to update the website from time to time with some new numbers.Re: "Resort" w/in a couple hours of Flint MIWe like to stay here http://duckcreekrvresort.com. Sites are huge and we love that area of MI.Re: Anchor Down RV ParkHow unlevel are we talking? More than a 1% slope for water run off?Re: Charging fees for cg visitorsI am strictly talking about private parks in my post. I like visitors fees. If I have only my family using the site but my neighbor has tons of his "closest friends" using his site, then who is using more of the parks resources? If they are using more, shouldn't they pay more? The park has to cover their expenses so they have two choices. Raise all of the rates or charge for visitors. I shouldn't have to pay more because my neighbor wants to have visitors. Charging only the people using the facilities doesn't make any sense. Every single person there is using the facilities. Sure, some visitors use the pool/playground but the others are adding wear and tear too. They are also probably using the bathroom and using water/sewer. Those things aren't free to the park. I'm sorry but quibbling about a $3 or $5 day per person is sad. People always want something for nothing. My tax dollars do not go to support private parks. I pay a use fee. I am fine with that. Why in the world should a private facility let anyone use it for free? Just because you rented a site for the night does not give you free access to use the heck out of their property. Besides a public tax payer supported entity, where can you go and pay such a tiny amount to enjoy a place for the entire day? Can't golf for free. Can't watch a movie for free. I guess you could walk through a mall and use their bathrooms for free.Re: What would you expect?Thank you for the replies. I figured there would be many opinions. I paid it all. I am a rule follower at heart. I was using $30 as an example amount because the real amount doesn't really matter. It is the principle. Thanks again!Re: What would you expect? The minimum stay is 3 nights so that isn't an issue. Their policy is that they do not accept any cancellations at all within 5 days. Is taking off one night really a cancellation? What would you expect? So, you've made a reservation at a campground for 4 nights ($30 per night) during a very, very busy time of year or a holiday weekend. You put 50% down ($60) and owe 50% ($60)when you arrive. The cancellation policy is clearly stated that you must give 5 days notice for all cancellations. You call 2 days before your stay to cancel the last night of your reservation. Since you are paid halfway, it will not result in a refund back to your credit card. It will simply be a reduction in what you owe on arrival. What do you expect from the campground? 1. They take the night off and you owe $30 when you arrive. 2. They refuse to take the night off and you owe $60 when you arrive even though you can't stay the last night. 3. Other...please explain.
