Thanks for all the help. God Bless Lark I had the same problem. No lights on the HWH keypad. Fuses were ok. Unscrewed the four screws and lifted up the keypad and the power cable had come unplugged. Simply plugged it back in, keypad lit up and it functioned well after that.Battery ConfigurationWhen reviewing my batteries on our 2001 class 'A' Monaco Windsor I noticed two drawers. The top drawer houses this huge 12 volt battery (picture attached). What does this power? The second drawer (bottom) houses 4 - 6 volt batteries connected in tandem. I am not sure which is for the house and which is for starting the vehicle. Why is the 12 volt so large. I've never seen something like this before. Of course, I've never owned an RV before either. Thanks to all who respond. They helped us obtain financing through Bank of America, where we had past excellent credit with them. We were able to get our loan with very little down. Consider putting a larger down payment to make the lender more agreeable. You can also consider taking out some funds from the equity of your home, although I don't normally recommend that route. Make sure you know the value of the motor-home because some private party deals are asking above the limit of what a bank will loan on. Screen the lender and ask them what year would they be willing to loan on. Start with your own bank or credit union where you've done business with in the past. As a last resort, you can always take some money out of the retirement/401k.Re: AIR PRESSURE IN CLASS A TIRESIs this strong enough to fill 295/75/r22.5 tires on our 40 foot Class 'A'?Re: Crock pot? While camped at an RV park on the beach .. my son made corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot. We left and spent the day on the beach and returned to a wonderful aroma. Entire RV smelled heavenly for quite a few hours. So yummie. We placed a wood cutting board underneath the crock pot (for safety) as it heats up pretty good on the bottom of the crock pot.Re: Florida Heart CentersIt's advisable to check with your medical insurance. You should be able to locate services via modality on their website and check their provider ratings. If internet is not available, call them. They will help you locate something where your insurance is accepted.Re: new shocks sourceBoth Shockwarehouse.com and eshocks.com have tremendous discounted prices as compared to Camper World. What a find. My Question: Would the installation place of business price gouge me on the installation, balance and stems just because I did not purchase the shocks from them?Re: Help for a friend displaced in the CO floodshari bartling; Ideas where to go may be a Wal-Mart or truck-stop, for a temporary stay. With regards to Boyd Lake and a state park pass ... find out if they need financial assistance and perhaps set up a fund at a bank where people can donate funds for the state park pass and additional $$ for unexpected expenses. Also, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, United Way .. Are they disabled or disabled veteran status would also provide additional resources. Just some thoughts and please update on here.Re: Help -slides will not extendIf the keys are in the ignition as mine were .. slides would not extend. Reason was when the key is in the ignition, when turning off the engine it's sort of sloppy and was slightly turned toward accessory. It was the wife who figured out our dilemma.Re: How many fire extinguishers on-board?An excellent point! One outside, one in the kitchen and one in the back bedroom area. As a son of a fire Engineer/Inspector with 33 years of service, trailers, mobile homes and I would assume RV's burn about the same .. VERY QUICKLY. The gasses this type of fire gives off is poisonous. Let's not forget about smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and when was the last time they were checked. It's also a good idea to allow everybody who rides in the RV to practice, at least once, with a fire extinguisher so they can familiarize themselves with how to pull the pin and deploy it correctly (aim at base of the flames). Extinguishers should be rated ABC .. meaning it can be used on all types of fires ... Stay safe everyone.
