Kinda verified my thinking that it was something where my few dollars could be better spent elsewhere.Privacy Awning Pros, ConsI am considering purchasing an awning that will hang from the roll-up tube of our main awning, but not sure whether or not it will be worth the cost. Can anyone who has installed one please let me know if they are pleased ( or not) with their purchase? I see in the catalogs where some have zipped tops. Do these roll up into the main awnings too? My awning is about 19 feet long. I am hoping to reduce the sun's heat and have a little privacy as well. Any suggestions will be appreciated.Where to buy valve extensionMy motorhome has 22.5 inch rear dually tires. On each tire I have a stainless steel braided valve extension piece that is 13 inch long. On one inner tire, the extender had a small leak. I want to purchase a replacement but can't find a site that sells them. Can someone send me a link please?Re: Battery Disconnect ONThanks DougRainer for your input.Re: Battery Disconnect ONSome of these posts were difficult to understand with the way they are written. So, to summarize and end this thread: I have replaced the solenoids within the past 2 years. Whether one has failed or not, it should have lasted more than a couple of years. Therefore, I am going to augment my existing Intellitec Battery Disconnect by installing a manual disconnect switch at my coach batteries. Hopefully, in the future, this thread will help someone with a similar problem. JohnRe: Battery Disconnect ONMarcella, My understanding is that the lamp will turn off when you place the switch in the Store position, provided you have disconnected from shore power.Re: Battery Disconnect ON Bobbo wrote: If I am plugged into shore power, that light stays on all the time because the converter/charger is still providing 12v power to the light. If I unplug from shore power, that light is only on while the battery is connected, and off when the battery is disconnected. That is normal operation and how yours SHOULD behave. The operative phrase here is "unplugged from shore power." True. ' Before, it would go off when I moved the rocker switch to STORE and I had the MH off AC power.' Now I have to determine if it's the switch or the relay.Re: Battery Disconnect ONToo simple to be true :) Like I stated, the batteries are still connected when in STORE mode (I double checked after your response). Where would I begin to look for an answer to this problem. I'll start tomorrow by testing the rocker switch. I'm not very much familiar with this electronic device. Thanks for your response.Battery Disconnect ONI've noticed that my Intellitec BD1 Battery Disconnect lamp stays on continuously. Before, it would go off when I moved the rocker switch to STORE and I had the MH off AC power. I can hear solenoid(s) clicking when I move the switch in either direction. Any suggestions why the red lamp always stays on now? Like this, I can't tell if the batteries are disconnected or not (I assume they aren't in that the lamp continues to illuminate.) I installed new solenoids over a year ago and the switch was working properly afterward. The voltage meter does function correctly.Re: Dometic Americana PowerDougrainer, thanks for your timely reply this morning. New terminal block arrived this afternoon and I am anxious to get the new board hooked up. #2: I DID have an ice maker, but removed it. So, you were probably right on with your answer. I am not replacing the rectangular piece with the red, blue, and black wire at this time. I have finished transferring all wires to the new board now, however, I can't remember where the red wires from the thermofuse go. I did take photos before I took everything apart, but apparently missed these two connections. I believe one red goes to a hot battery lead (terminal block). does the other red wire go to the panel? There is an in line fuse on one wire. I'm not so sure that both wires were going to hot? Does this sound correct? Much of this wiring was jury rigged making a bird's nest of everything. Plus, a couple tubing lines run right in front of the board, further aggravating things? Sorry, but I couldn't get the picture deal figured out. Will be awaiting your reply, Thanks!
