Let's see......whatever name you want to buy will be pretty much the same Landmark 365, Redwood, Carriage, and DRV. Can't wait to see what company they purchase next. First is obvious......it will get a Lippert frame. Not saying good or bad, just sayin'. Uh, DRV already uses a Lippert frame, standard suspension with Mor Ryde I/S available as an option, and the Level Up. Ah, where was my head? I should have remembered that from DRV having the 6-point level up before any other manufacturer.Re: Thor/Heartland buys out DRV Travlingman wrote: Heartland buys DRV Wonder what the changes will be? Possibly at the Hershey Show?Re: REDWOOD FIFTH WHEELLillyputz, (his name on forums) was a past Redwood owner. He is now an owner of a Lifestyle 5er. He has posted threads on the Redwood owners forum in the past. I'm sure he is on the "Carriage" forum, now. I'd look him up and PM him. He can probably give you some information on how to move forward.Re: 2012 Dutchman Infinity 3750FLGo to Dutchmenowners.org . You'll be able to have some discussions with owners of the 3750FL. I cannot tell you the difference between the Montana and the Infinity other than you won't find paint on the Montana.Re: Redwood no need for 8k axles optionNo, apparently they were optional equipment at some point. No longer an option. Can do it aftermarket, though.Redwood no need for 8k axles optionRedwood has found that they're market share doesn't require the application of 8k axles. They're not being built heavy enough to offer the option. It's an aftermarket thing......o ya they did briefly in early 2014. Not a lot of Redwood purchasers were ordering them. Obviously, DRV knows the value of a decent build with an exterior thick wall system to warrant the 8k axles. There are others, also.Re: Overnight stopI know the OP is happy with these answers and has ended the thread. I'm chiming in late. My first 5er was a 1994 21'6" Jayco. Other then the fact that it was small inside it had no storage for stuff. I immediately moved up to a 27'6" prowler. It had one slide and storage. If you don't need storage space then a small 5er will be fine.Redwood 5ers showing signs of crackingFYI. Some Redwood owners are starting to see cracking issues on their slides. These cracks are showing up 2-3 years after their purchase. The design unit is from induction to 2014. No Redwood owners have mentioned any issues with their 2014's. Apparently, their have been design changes with the redesigned 2014 late models. If you own a Redwood I would highly recommend that you inspect your slides for cracking. I don't believe that Redwood RV Company has sent any information out on the cracking issue.Re: HELP camper blowout problems!!!!!Dustin, Like someone here has commented.........is it just one tire or on the same axle every time? If so, I'd find out if the axle bent. I have elcheapo "ST" china tires on my 5er. They came original on my 2012. They are Akuret st235/80r/16. My trailer was 12,232lbs. before I loaded it up with stuff. I have travelled twice to Florida from Maine. Also, spent time hitting different campgrounds throughout Maine and Florida. I have over 11,000 miles on my tires and they are all wearing even. I keep 80 psi in them at all times. I also, check tire pressure every time I hook up to my tow vehicle. My fear is if your axles are bent or cockeyed then no matter what good tire you place on it it will still wear your tires out. Good luck, brotha! Have your axles checked with a reputable camper repair facility.
