Nearby is Beufort, SC with shops and restaurants and Hilton Head island with more of the same. I'm not sure what will be open that time of year. As far as weather. It could be 40 one day and 70 the next.Re: Campgrounds near Aiken, SCThe closest decent campground I know of is Yogi Bears Jellystone at River Bottom Farms. It is about 35 miles from downtown Aiken, but it is a great park. The weekends usually draw a lot of families, especially on holidays, but during the week you would have the place to yourself. I've Heard good and bad about Aiken State Park, but have never been. As said above, any of the COE or State Parks around Thurmond Lake are nice, but are 40+ miles from Aiken. I have seen a few parks around the city, but look mostly like places for short term workers.Re: Rear Kitchen2dnd year with a rear kitchen and I believe the drawer under the midship sofa has move more than anything in the kitchen.Re: Curt hitchI have a 16k slider made by Curt. 2 years with no problems.Re: Prepped for Second AC QuestionThe second a/c will be independent of the main ducted unit and will only blow into the area it is installed in. If your doing a DIY installation you will need to order a non ducted unit. If your new travel trailer has is prepped for second a/c, it should have a blank receptacle cover near the vent in the front. Wiring will be behind this cover. The hardest part of the installation is getting the a/c up on the roof.Re: Interstate side overnight park north of SavannahCamp Lake Jasper in Hardeeville, SC. Right off of I-95 with full hookups. We stayed there one weekend a year or so ago. Can't remember, but seems like they had cable.Re: Questions about Tractor SupplyWe have a new Tractor Supply near us as well as a couple within 50 miles. While I can't compare them to Murdock's, I can say that their merchandise is better than anything I have seen in Harbor Freight. There have only been one or two items I have had a problem with and kind of expected to. They carry many name brand items as well as some "budget friendly" names. All-in-all they have been a welcome addition to our area.Re: Unicoi State Park - UPCOMING Late OctoberWe stayed in the Laurel Ridge section 2 years ago and loved it. The Little Brook sites looked a lot tighter when we were driving thru, but to each his own.Re: Service BodyThere are some low sided service bodies out there. A friend of mine that owns his own car lots bought an F-350 with the regular service body that had been wrecked. He had one of the guys in his shop repair the body work to the cab and remove the damaged body. He then took it to a shop that specialized in service bodies and had a low sided body installed along with a gooseneck hitch. He used this truck for several years to tow one of those 4 car trailers to move cars between his car lots. This truck set up this way would also work to tow a fiver. The bed sides, from what I remember, were actually lower than a standard pick-up bed.Re: Nissan Titan Towing CapactiyAs a former Titan owner I can tell you the Springdale is a better choice. You will be a lot more comfortable towing with that weight. We had a 28 foot Dutchmen that the Titan handled great and had the same or similar weights as the Springdale. You have a capable truck that will perform well in flat to moderately hilly terrain. Mine was not the Big tow but handled the mountains of north Georgia well. I don't think I would try the higher steeper grades of the upper Apalachins or the Rockies, but have seen some Titan owners that have. I would still have the Titan if it would have had the payload for a fifth wheel. It was a great truck
