It is a 120/250 4-wire grounding. You will be able to get full 30 amps off each leg. You should be able to run both AC units depending on what other loads are in use. A normal adater to use 30 amp 120 volt connection should give power to each leg. You will only be able to get 30 amps max to rig. Bud, That is what I was thinking.Re: Electrical help pleaseMy generator is a Briggs & Stratton StormResponder that is rated at 5500 watts, 8250 starting watts. The 220 plug is a NEMA L14-30 that has 4 prongs. Not planning on using this generator while camping. This setup would be used at home if/when I loose power due to a storm. I know it would be too noisy to use in a campground.Electrical help pleasePlease tell me if my thinking is correct. My 50 amp service consists of 2 lines of 120 volts and 50 amps to each leg of my 5r. When I hook to 30 amp service, I get one leg of 120 volts and 30 amps on one leg with 0 volts to the second leg which will allow me to run only one AC. My generator gives me 240 volts with 30 amps, which is 120 volts and 30 amps on each leg. If I connect this to my 5r, I would then get 2 lines of 120 volts and 30 amps to each leg going to my 5r. This should then allow me to run both of my ACs and a few lights but I'd have to be careful not to run much more as I'd trip the breaker on my generator.Re: Shower HeadX4 on the OxygenicsRe: American West Historical Sites / Towns / Places to VisitOne place I found interesting is in our own back yard (Texas). Take a trip down to Langtry, TX, and visit the Judge Roy Bean museum.Re: Traveling with AC runningI ha5ve a platform on the rear of my fiver and my 50 amp plug is right there on the rear. If I calculated correctly, my generator will put out about 35 amps. I'd plan on stopping about an hour before arrival at the CG and start the generator and one AC.Traveling with AC runningDoes anyone run a generator to power the AC in their fiver or TT while towing to the CG so it will be cool inside upon arrival? Good idea or bad one?Re: Dog bathing on extended tripsWe use a waterless dog shampoo.Re: Disconnect overnight???Thanks all for the quick replies. It's good to know that if need be, I don't have to disconnect.
