Replacing the Male End of the RV Power Cord
I am needing to replace the male end of the shore power cord for my rv as the previous one had melted a bit at one of the connectors. My dilemma is to replace the male end with a replacement adapter made by Camco (not weather tight) of which I would add silicone around the openings or to replace the full length cord. Cost is $13 vs $45. Second part, would be to buy a new replacement cord and then splice to the existing and wrap to make weather tight so that I would have 50 or more feet. One of my slide always gets stuck in the closed position. I have to go underneath the trailer and their is a access panel near the motor. Open it up and you will see the motor and then on 1 side should be a hex blot that you can ratchet open. Its the manual override that you can find literature on lipperts website. I go the word Outback for the front and a few swirls for the side. Cost $30 incl ship. I was out of warranty by 2 years and when speaking with them, I stated that having peeling Outback letters doesn't help their cause, I "want" to purchase as they owe me nothing.482Views0likes0Comments
