Oh next year it will be ready.Re: To "delete" or not to "delete"I have 4 years left then I will delete my Cummins. Each to their own, but the funny part is that your lawn mower and hedge trimmer are far worse then picking on the truck diesels. Now lets talk about the emissions from planes? hahaha Rabbit hole by design.Re: 6.4L Hemi/4.10 towing mpgI think that RV has a MPG friendly footprint for towing.Re: Towing with a 3.0 L Touareg TDI dieselMy perception is that 99% of all RVer's never wear out their motors. The Majority sell their TV's well in advance of any kind of wear issues so to worry about duty cycle is wasted energy. Drive it, tow with it, don't sweat it because the 3.o diesels are just as capable as any other diesel albeit slower in some circumstances.Re: Towing with a 3.0 L Touareg TDI dieselMy 2015 Jeep GC can do the same all day long?Re: Finally got weights from CAT scaleIn Canada only one Province goes by the GVWR all others go by the purchased tag weights on the insurance registration. I have had a 2500 now a 3500 SRW and the only towing difference is due to the new design but both towed my 15.5 Silverback 37BH just fine. DRW is more stable but its not earth shattering like the DRW Lemmings would shout and cry. They like the DRW so be it, a 2500 can pull heavy loads without tipping over contrary to what they say. I tow on average 4-6k miles every summer so I get to cover all terrains. Don't sweat it, the truck may sag just get air bags to level the truck. FYI my Tags are for 24k lbs all in. And in Canada I could not find a single case where the courts ruled on RV over weights. Here is the link to look. http://www.canlii.org/en/Re: Pulling a 15500 lb 5erI pull my 2014 SB that is 15,500 all day long with my SRW. I pulled it last year for 6000 miles with DRW and its not that day and night better compared to my SRW. DRW is it more stable yes, is it ground breaking, no.Re: Ecodiesel and Nissan CumminsI find it funny all these people slagging the Ram Ecodiesel and you don't even own one??? They are a nice small little motor with good power for the design. Its not built for racing its built for MPG's and long service life. If they wanted it to be a race engine they could have slapped a second turbo just like the fords Eco boost but like IB said they choose to be part of a different market segment. The 3.0 liter motor tows great with great MPG's and if you want to really go at the towing capacity of the 1500 Ram then beat your brains out because the ratings for all trucks are firstly driven from marketing then performance for the trucks we use. Otherwise how would the OEM's justify the pricing matrix already in place? I like our Eco diesel and I also like my Ram 6.7 CTD and love that its SRW despite all you DRW lemmings!!!! hahahaha Lets see what this brings.Re: 2015 Ford F-350 0-60 MPH TestI give it to Ford, they are faster then my 370 hp 800 tq Ram..... Hell with 440hp should they not? Add in the 3.73 ratio versus the 3.41 you better be faster. Ford has a better handle on tranny set ups and one day Ram will understand how to get the full power of their engines pass through the gear box and until then, Ram will always be slower. Just like the playground, someone will always be faster the same way someone will always be tougher.Re: RAM 2500 - Hemi 6.4 vs Cummins - payload vs towing stability Jfresh wrote: mrkoje wrote: I would go with the 6.4L Hemi and if you are concerned about power then maybe opt for the 4.10 rear axle ratio. I ended up choosing the Cummins (2012) and then again last year because my trailer was heavier then the specs on the 6.4L setup would allow and I really like that exhaust break going down a hill :). Now that said - I really don't enjoy driving the Cummins around town. It's a heavy lug and most of the time it has a problem getting out of its own way. The tuck cost more and fuel is more expensive and the MPG isn't much better than my friends 6.4L/4.10 setup. You will like the day to day driving better with the 2500 for sure and it's coil springs. If you have issues with squatting if you get a larger trailer then you can add some airbags. Even a 9000lb trailer would only put around 1100lbs on the ball. You would still have a substantial amount of payload remaining. So I would say go for the 6.4L Hemi get the 4.10 rear end if you're conceded with low end power and roll in the extra 7k dollars you saved. the most honest answer i have heard from a cummins owner in a long time. If you can afford the trailer you can afford what truck you want to buy. I wouldn't be concerned all to much which one you buy. I save $1500 in fuel costs just in towing for my camping trips each summer. Plus I prefer the diesel, distances between fuel ups and the engine brake. One will get a large portion of the upfront cost back when you sell it so take it for what its worth. I had no issue spending the extra money even if I disregard my above points.
