One last post. Out of all the catalytic converters on the website, only 3 were approved by the state. When we shared the list with the shop, it turned out only 2 we're actually legal for getting our registration.

Our local muffler shops will not service RVs. I've called dozens. I'm expanding my search range to Sacramento and checking the big rig truck centers now. We did contact our Ford truck center and they recommended muffler shops as well, but did not act...
We would have gone that route but are registration is due before our trip. And we won't be able to pass smog in California without getting the catalytic converter work done first. We may have to cancel taking it out
