I expect to receive it somewhere between end of November and middle of February.Re: You can order a 2015 F150, but you can't order a 2015 F150I ordered a 2015 f150, 3.5 eco-boost on July 30. I got a firm price and I signed the order, but put it on hold when I was informed I couldn't get the 3.73 locking rear end I wanted. It's due the way packages are configured, so I'm waiting for the load and towing capacities to be published.Re: You can order a 2015 F150, but you can't order a 2015 F150Whataya work for Ford Marketing? I'm telling you straight up that specifications for the new trucks are mostly nonexistent, and that Ford dealer guides, by which dealers order cars, are therefore inadequate. it means you can order a truck if you don't know or care what you are getting.Re: You can order a 2015 F150, but you can't order a 2015 F150The problem is that Ford's 2015 F150 ordering guides are bogus. They will be replaced by real ordering guides whenever Ford Marketing decides to release them. You can order a 2015 F150, but you can't order a 2015 F150Re: 2015 F!50s: On July 28, FOMO used a tired marketing trick. The company told news media that dealers could now order the new 2015 F150s (wink, wink). In reality, a guy cannot order the truck he wants because capacities and specifications for the new trucks are mostly nonexistent. And they won't be existent for — who knows? Ford did the same thing with the 2015 Mustang: sent out bogus dealer guides (wink, wink) and much later sent out the real guides. So, the best thing to do is wait weeks or months for a new half-ton, or do the honorable thing and buy a Silverado or a Ram.Re: Ordered a 2015 F150 Lariat — almost goducks10 wrote: Does anyone have a link to 2015 Towing guides for the F150? That would clear up all the speculation. You don't need guides. Just call Ford Marketing in Dearborn at 1-800-334-4375 and ask them two questions re: the 2015 XLT and Lariat:1) Can I get a 3.73 locking rear axle without buying the Heavy Duty Payload package? and 2) If I get the HD Payload option, can I also get the 501A mid-luxury option or the 502A luxury option? To the above the answers are 'no' and 'no.' 2014 XLTs and Lariats are, or were, different. The answer to same questions above would be 'yes' and 'no.'Re: Ordered a 2015 F150 Lariat — almost astraelraen wrote: As far as I remember you couldn't get some of the luxury packages / options with the HD package in 2013 F150 when I bought mine. I wanted the top luxury package with HIDs etc and was concerned with payload and settled on max tow only so I could get the luxury options. Right, for 2014 F150 you could get maximum towing capacity by ordering a 3.73 rear end without buying the HD Payload option — not any more.Re: Ordered a 2015 F150 Lariat — almost 93Cobra2771 wrote: Interesting regarding the rear gear and weight. In the current versions of the F150 you had two options for the 3:73. 3:73 electronic locking, which was available on pretty much any model 3:73 limited slip, which was only available on HD payload trucks So you guys are saying the only 3:73 available is now on the HD payload model? Yes! On 2014 models, a guy could buy a loaded-with-options XLT or Lariat and opt for a 3.73 locking rear end without having to buy the HD Payload option. And he'd need that 3.73 to get to maximum towing capacity. For the 2015 the only way to get 3.73 is within the HD option, but with the HD option you cannot — I repeat — cannot get the luxury options.
